  • Great! I read the book, it's excellent and I recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in film and in Art.

  • The visual effects of the 2nd example, and especially the effects over the book at the end, are what I usually think of as "experimental film". A Norman McLaren kind of thing. Or Window Water Baby Moving.

    I first became acquainted with the concept of experimental film through local newspaper ads for Mike Getz' Underground Cinema 12, but was too young to attend and have seen few of the films he would have presented. I wish I could get a playlist. Anyway I'll read your book!
