Fox news brings attention to issues that the other networks would rather ignore. High ratings are a reward for reporting topics of interest and being fair in the representation of those topics. GE owns MSNBC it is completely biased, you should be thankful Fox exists if for no other reason you get the WHOLE story instead of just a liberal point of view.

Fox criticized Bush for his handling of the wars and the bailouts. His Katrina response, and his lack of fiscal responsibility. I do find it fascinating that Obama will treat muslim combatants like civilians instead of running them through a military court as history and law would have dictated. FDR had enough since for a military trial which led to execution of Nazi sabatuers when they threatened our civilian population. Current HC reform supports diluting HC quality and raising taxes to support people who dont' pay taxes. Why do they not pay taxes? Because of some entitlement program which doesnt require them to work. So the Liberal mindset is to raise taxes to support the entitlement program instead of creating incentives to help people help themselves.

The House is made up of about 58% Democrats as well. And in November, the Democrats will be losing tons of seats. I mean look. New Jersey and Virginia voted elected Republican governors. Massachusetts elected a Republican senator.
If the Dems don't make a change soon, they will lose the majority in the House. The Senate turnover is every six years, so they could probably hold onto their majority there, but it will be much closer.

i think its too late. but you are right there will be more "bipartisan ship" but it seems to be opposite of what you suggest. for instance look at whats going on with health care reform. they are taking out all of the parts the republicans have had a problem with (and my self) have had a problem with (public option, mandates, etc.) and focusing on the good ideas (health care exchanges, etc.)

The banks have already payed back every penny with interest. He is asking the banks to cover GM's and fannie and freddie's. How will taxing banks and them passing the fees onto the consumer going to help us any? They literally forced many of them to take the money in the first place. No part of the Constitution gives the government the power to dictate what private companies pay their employees.

Then there is competition to hold them in place.

I have a bad feeling this is going to be about like that "enrich a bunch of fat cat bankers" speech where he feigned anger but continued pro-corporate status quo.
I'd feel a lot better with Howard Dean/Alan Grayson at the helm in 2012. Dean was my original vote in 2004 anyway.
