  • great great video sir!

  • why couldn't he be my professor, my professor doesn't teach sh!t.

  • Thank you! You speak in a way that is easy to understand and slow enough. Helped me a lot

  • i get confused! stroma of chloroplast- is it the organelle of photosythesis or enzyme of photosynthesis?

  • @cheekang18 its the area outside of thylakoids

  • Test tomorrow ...and let me tell u i ain't worried thnx to you :)

  • oooh its amazing ..... thankx alot... i love it...

  • Thank you!!! Why can't every teacher explain it like this instead of making it soooo difficult!?!

  • OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! you're so funny & understandable! this really helped :D

magical ATP fairy LOL i'll never forget that :P

  • school is so hard

  • Thanks a lot :D your explanation was clear and somehow funny.. One thing I'm learning biochemistry so I didn't get why that 3C became 5C again :( but I love your mini lecture :D

  • i understand everything...but i didn't get one thing ...I don't know why we say we add electrons, here we are not adding electrons or anything, these all things are included in process.we shouldn't say this that then we add electrons rather than this he should explain from where all those electron come?

  • Don't have to memorize the enzymes? This does not help students learn the complete process, which is actually necessary for a thorough understanding of biochemistry! Learning the enzymes and molecules helps you to think more clearly when studying.

  • This beats 3 chapters of studying for finals

  • Anyone else back for midterms? Haha

  • may god bleeeessssss ya!

  • The magical ATP fairy :)

  • Might want to add in Rubisco, but fantastic video!!! Thanks!

  • You forgot to talk about Rubisco, the enzyme that helps the 10 G3P into RuBP.

  • How do you make that sooo easy??

    Sincerely,

    Awestruck student.

  • The magical ATP fairy lol :) Great teacher thank you!!

  • In India, we are actually taught this in MUCH GREATER DETAIL. Im in class 12 and we have to study undergrad level stuff actually. The video s well explained but i'd prefer more detail(inclusive of ALL THOSE ENZYMES which fuel every reaction.

  • @Minnie1799 hey same is the case with me instead of 12th we are taught allthis stuff in detailed form in 11th..its very tough...

  • You saved my life... i got a A- on my test :)

  • This is BRILLIANT! Thanks so much.

  • ajs;dofijoajsdf

    marry me

  • you remind me of one of my best biology teacher in plant physiology.... Dr. Bhanu Solanki..

  • amazing.... thank you... brightstrom just made my day.........

  • you made this sound simple compared to my bio teacher.

    thanks you really helped

  • i lik ur hand motions come replace my bio teacher!

  • Why can't you be my bio teacher?

  • thanks alot really helpful

  • i thought it took 2 turns of the calvin cycle to make a PGAL and it spins twice to give you 2??

  • that was very helpful, thank you! although it is a little difficult for me since I actually study this in german, where some of the names expecially the short names are different..

  • thank you! i still am a little unclear on this stufff but this helps alot!

  • good job...............

  • Gazillions.....a scientific term

  • yay! i FINALLY understand the calvin cycle!! :D

  • MAJICAL ATP FAIRY FTW

  • this is really good and it's very clear! good job!

  • Thank you this helped a lot, but it can only remind me of how much worse my teacher is than you :(

  • YOUR AWESOME !!!!

Wish I had you as my teacher.

  • I. LOVE. YOU. ok, well, just for the fact that you have helped me ace all my bio quizes. I owe you my grade, XD thank you so much!

  • thanks this helped me

  • This helped so much, thanks for the amazing videos!

  • THANK YOU.

  • ...Why are you NOT my Biology teacher?

    ...WHY?!

    D':

  • Well done, especially the way he evokes critical thinking to seek out the biochemical "energy Fairy"..

  • Wow my book was better than him

  • who knows the steps unknkown (magic) please reply?

  • THAT WAS PERFECT! "The magical ATP fairy comes along" ! This was so very helpful and that part was very funny!! Thank you so so much!

  • thank you so much!

  • you forgot that more ATP are needed to recycle the PGAL or TP into RuBP, also, the RuBisCO is used to begin the cycle

  • come teach my bio 110 class at penn state please!!!

  • glad i found this the day before my bio test

  • hahahahaha 4:22 bis-fy-glos- leeee , sorry

  • this is gud .....kinda understood evrything.....

  • Very well explained, thank you!

  • Is 12 PG and 12 BPG, why is used just 6ATP reduced to ADP if each PG receive 1 P to become BPG?

  • i want you to have my kids. you are amazing

  • Love this guy--way better than what I learn with my instructor!

  • Your amazing I dont understand why that was so simple when you explained it. But thank you

  • the magical tap fairy. you know.

  • @jb1234love haha no he said that

  • east coast west coast kinda thing. you know.

  • @jb1234love

You talking about his hands moving all over the place

  • Great video! :)

  • I really appreciate your teaching style and depth, can't say enough.

  • @MrOogdaboogda ya totally my teacher shows these instead lecturing when she lectures we all fail

  • awesome how you can explain all those things! thank you very much :)

  • i got very good marks in my bio test coz u explained very clearly

  • Thank you so much! :D

  • This video is awesome! I totally understand now :)

  • This video keeps saying error when I try to watch it. All his other ones are working -_- Exam tomorrow, make it work please lol

  • luv this lecturer!!hu3

  • here i am, paroozing various youtube videos in leu of studying for my bio test on monday , and i'm reading "you're the best teacher i've ever had" and "omg you helped me out so much!". when my teacher goes over all of this, it makes perfect sense, this is more of a reminder for me, but it just makes me realize how great my teachers are

  • @MrOogdaboogda Exactly.

  • thanks a lot

  • where do you teach?

  • Honestly, all the good teachers are on youtube what a shame..

  • "di and bis both mean two. I don't know why. Maybe it's an east coast west coast thing." lol

  • bis is used to signify the phosphates occurring on opposite sides of the molecule, such as fructose 1-6 BISphosphate. cheers.

  • shit....I'm Chilean....i don't learn this lenguaje

  • ATP FAIRY! :D 6:59

  • in spanish please'!

  • i really wish you were my teacher

  • ur mad chill :)

  • wrote about the magical atp fairies on my test. cant wait to see my score

  • El vídeo esta espectacular!

En español no hay ningún vídeo igual, NINGUNO

¿Serian tan amables de colocar subtitulo en español?

    sería muy bueno!

  • @MrOogdaboogda I hear ya.

  • @MrOogdaboogda i hear ya.

  • OVERVIEW FOR A2 UNIT 4 BIOLOGY (UK) :

    1. CO2 from air + RUBP combine by enz Rubisco. Forms 2x3C GP(glucosephosphate).

    2. 2GP req 2 H+ from NADPH and 2 Pi from ATP>> releases NADP- and ADP to go back to light dependant for reuse.

    3. Through H+ and Pi forms 2x3C TP (triose phosphate) from here 1/6 C put into Glucose production.

other 5/6 made back into RUBP

    4. Whole thing starts again. It will take 6 cycles to make 1 Glucose molecule.

  • he is cute and a good teacher :)

  • He forgot to mention RUBISCO, the protein used to introduce CO2 into the cycle. That's really important.

This video was extreamly helpful though, thank you so much!

  • 0:20 onwards

"they call this the light independant reactions because it does not depend on light, so if you turn of the lights this reactiong WILL grind to a halt" *gestures to board*

WHAT??? how can that be right please explain, surely this is then not a light INdependant reaction?

  • @BOOMA107 Because the rxn's are not directly dependent on light to occur, but the ATP and the NADPH produced by the light dependent rxns ARE NECESSARY for the light independent rxn's. So even though light is not absorbed to provide energy for the rxn, it is still dependent on the products of the light reactions. Hope that helps.

  • I'm watching a video on the Calvin cycle and the suggested video to watch next is E.T. by KATY PERRY?!!!

  • well done!

i am german and anyway i could follow you.

    Thanks!

  • lol ''the magical ATP fairy'' heehee

  • @rukiashinigami33 i had to lough big time hahha

  • Thanks. This is so helpful. What a great teacher.

  • I have some questions about the Calvin cycle.

I see that you have 12PG but you add only 6ATP to them. It should be 12ATP ?

  • he's cute! so helpful

  • >.< i wish i was more experienced in english to understand everything :\ its damn alot of useful information (and good formed)

  • This is so good! You're the best teacher I've ever not had. *Sad face*

  • Queer hand movements but very useful

  • went from not understanding photosynthesis to being able to draw and explain both reactions in a matter of a day, really good videos bro.

  • @DerRofflers right?

  • thank you very much, it helped a lot in my studies for polish equivalent for SAT :)

  • yeah i overliked it !! you're a good teacher !!!

  • You're awesome!!!! ::Superlike::

  • love love looove

  • hey very interesting guy nd very helpful also good explanation and keep it up!

  • gazillions? haha

  • AWESOME.

  • Wish this guy was my professor.

  • could you plz make a vid about nitrogen cycle?

  • lol at 4.24.... haha...

  • This was really helpful. Thank you.

  • good explanation i mean its seem to be the only normal explanation ;D but that guy is funny with his moves and mimiks ;p

  • last time i checked, CH20 isn't glucose..

  • @ryan93g It's empirical, Glucose is C6-H12-O6, a 5C sugar would be C5-H10-O5

  • @ryan93g its the empirical formula c6h12o6=ch2o
