Thanks a lot :D your explanation was clear and somehow funny.. One thing I'm learning biochemistry so I didn't get why that 3C became 5C again :( but I love your mini lecture :D
i understand everything...but i didn't get one thing ...I don't know why we say we add electrons, here we are not adding electrons or anything, these all things are included in process.we shouldn't say this that then we add electrons rather than this he should explain from where all those electron come?
Don't have to memorize the enzymes? This does not help students learn the complete process, which is actually necessary for a thorough understanding of biochemistry! Learning the enzymes and molecules helps you to think more clearly when studying.
In India, we are actually taught this in MUCH GREATER DETAIL. Im in class 12 and we have to study undergrad level stuff actually. The video s well explained but i'd prefer more detail(inclusive of ALL THOSE ENZYMES which fuel every reaction.
that was very helpful, thank you! although it is a little difficult for me since I actually study this in german, where some of the names expecially the short names are different..
here i am, paroozing various youtube videos in leu of studying for my bio test on monday , and i'm reading "you're the best teacher i've ever had" and "omg you helped me out so much!". when my teacher goes over all of this, it makes perfect sense, this is more of a reminder for me, but it just makes me realize how great my teachers are
"they call this the light independant reactions because it does not depend on light, so if you turn of the lights this reactiong WILL grind to a halt" *gestures to board*
WHAT??? how can that be right please explain, surely this is then not a light INdependant reaction?
@BOOMA107 Because the rxn's are not directly dependent on light to occur, but the ATP and the NADPH produced by the light dependent rxns ARE NECESSARY for the light independent rxn's. So even though light is not absorbed to provide energy for the rxn, it is still dependent on the products of the light reactions. Hope that helps.
great great video sir!

OVERVIEW FOR A2 UNIT 4 BIOLOGY (UK) :
1. CO2 from air + RUBP combine by enz Rubisco. Forms 2x3C GP(glucosephosphate).
2. 2GP req 2 H+ from NADPH and 2 Pi from ATP>> releases NADP- and ADP to go back to light dependant for reuse.
3. Through H+ and Pi forms 2x3C TP (triose phosphate) from here 1/6 C put into Glucose production.
other 5/6 made back into RUBP
4. Whole thing starts again. It will take 6 cycles to make 1 Glucose molecule.

He forgot to mention RUBISCO, the protein used to introduce CO2 into the cycle. That's really important.
