@ApplySomePressure54 what are you talking about? If you've read any interviews by TBK you would know they are not trying to sound old, purposefully anyway. In addition this is not the 60s it is 2011 and the set up for this gig is extremely awkward. Furthermore, 'that's what concerts were like back in the 60's' what sort of concerts do you mean? Can you really picture people sitting on plastic chairs, nice and still, clapping in the wrong place to a Stones concert, or Zeppelin or Hendrix? No.
@videotime31 To be fair, this gig was a joke: he said in another clip from this venue that their record company forced them to be there. This isn't necessarily a group of adoring fans.
its as though they are playing in front of a cinderblock wall.. nobody's responding to the music! what a crappy audience. id be dancing in the front row and singing with them.. they dont even konw when the song is over.. they are just waiting for it to be over with.. how rude.
I'm not sure why everyone is mad at the audience. If you play music on tv gigs or televised stuff you know that people tend to clap early in pauses. I think as soon as most people see cameras everyone gets a little nervous in the audience. At least their not talking while they are performing!
Fucking agree. I would have jumped up and lost my shit when I heard that beat. It's like the audience is being held at gunpoint "CHEER FOR THE BAND OR MOVE IN ANY WAY AND YOU WILL BE SHOT IMMEDIATELY. HAVE A NICE DAY" lol. Did you hear the lame ass interviewer from this same session? The guy fails
Like wtf? It's like these people have NO IDEA who TBKs are and just decided to show up and are regretting it. Btw what's up with that whack fucking bass player trying to dance like Dan?
I'm so glad other people are as pissed off by this as I am, It just seems like a total waste- I reckon that 60% of the audience is made up of crew members who have never heard of the band, 10% are random people they dragged in off the street just to fill chairs (who came along just so they could sit inside in the warmth) and the remaining 30% are simply cardboard cut-out audience members! As for the interviewer, total flop, he's never heard of the Keys before.
Lmao cardboard cut outs. Like in old school video games. I just feel kinda bad for the keys on this. Dan said their label forced them to be there in the interview so the least the fucking lame ass radio show could have did was maybe post a couple of flyers or some shit hahaha.
As for that interviewer he seems like the type of old fart that automatically dismisses every single band that isn't The Beatles.
this song is awesome....cool melody :P

@engraving333 They're still considered a duo. You can't perform bass, keyboard, guitar, and drums with two people.

By far, the worst bass player I've ever seen.
The Black Keys ARE Dan and Pat, they don't need another player.
They are the best duo band ever, BETTER THAN THE WHITE STRIPES!

@videotime31 That's what concerts were like back in the 60's
which is the time period they're pulling from in their music
so it only makes sense that their concerts reflect their music.
