Thank you so much worked perfectly! That was so annoying up until i found this video. I was getting >10fps with gtx 580m Now over 50 with everything maxed!!!
@CptnPinguin Ok, when in the Skyrimprefs document, the line looks something like:
* sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M " * (this is mine as example)
Before the change, if you are still running on integrated graphics then it would say "intel HD" or something similar. Try searching for "sD3DDevice" with the Ctrl+F function when in the document and see what comes up?
@JaskenFtw For some reason it doesn't find anything when I search for "sD3DDevice". The strange thing is that I can play on high settings without much problems, I just don't get why it keeps showing the Intel HD graphics card. Thanks for trying to help me anyways :P
Hi. I was looking through the prefs and saw that line, entered it into google wondering if I could enable SLI there (I'm having sli issues now, they started after I tried a shader mod, and wont correct when i delete the mod). Do you know if SLI can be edited in the
Mate. You are actually a fucken' legend. Thanks so much ay. I thought my computers graphics card was shit. But then I looked at the video discription, and i'm running almost the exact same system specs as you. (555m) i7 and 6gb ram...
You've shown me the light brother. Now i'm gonna go play Skyrim. Like a boss
Hmm, strange, there's no reason either method shouldn't work. Unless your preferred graphics processor has not been set to the Nvidia, and is still trying to use intel HD as default?
Is the game not recognizing the Nvidia gpu at all?

@Zobra0115 Uncheck "Windowed mode" in your Skyrim Options from the launcher. :P

@Zobra0115 Click on the window in the taskbar, and it shows up. Then click the desktop, then click the window again.
