I'm probably biased, but I like Flay's old theme more... it has more of that "cheesy hero" style to it. His new one makes me think of "obnoxious ninja", if that even makes sense... it's still very Flay-ish though.
(Spoiler) Well if you did his quest Gunnar changed from hero to villain, he even has his own secret evil base under the school in MK2 to help him plan how to take over the world. Yes, it mentions that even has a evil court down there.

from what I've seen in the JP playthrough. the only thing that's changed is his Intelligence. Peronallity wise, Nothing at all.

omg... Flay is at it agian! He was such a funny guy in MK1! Crazy weirdo guy.. but he really needs to lay off the drugs

P.S. he hasn't really change in to a villain at all even though he choose to become one. You'll understand once the english version is released.
