  • ooh fair play on the hand movements, not many can do it at that level even after years of practice. I enjoyed this video, cheers :)

  • Love it!!!!!!!!

  • You play well, hell.

  • is that a shaw? what key? i'm looking at getting a shaw A. if that is a shaw, I'll be sure to get one, because it sounds good!

  • That's a Burke, not a Shaw.

  • well noted, I like it.

  • Bravo

  • I was sure the second tune you play is ballydesmond number 2..

  • Nice, nice sound...

  • Very good playing! Lovely sound, I like it :) (And hooray, I can play these polkas too!) xx

  • Wow!! You're excellent playing polkas. This is probably your best video so far. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow, sorry for the typing errors, those were terrible, haha.

  • Huh, not bad. A member from The Cottars, Ciaran MacGillivray, who's a friend of mine, plays the guitar you hear at the beginning of the song. It's the 5th song on the Forerunner album titles "Some Polkas". They hail from the Mira. Well, Ciaran and Fiona do. I don't know much about the 2 new members. I'm partial to the old Cottars with Jimmy and Rosie myself. Great band non the less. And they are great people. Very down to earth. I'm glad you took the time to learn this. You did great.

  • You know people from the Cottars? That is amazing! Never know the people you'll find on youtube. Yes, they are a grand group - though sadly I dont have any of their albums as of yet (learned this one off it repeatedly showing up on pandora internet radio - the tune got stuck in my head from that and one day I discovered that I could play it....rather odd). I often wish this sort of music were more popular around here - I am from Tennessee so it's mostly county music round here......:-/

  • they're from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

    if anyone was wondering.

    Great playing!

  • Yes, indeed they are! (so many locations, so many tunes....)

  • excellent

you could look out for the wyllieohagan channels Irish Film Festival and put this in for next year.

  • Very happy tune...

    You play very well...

    Congratulations
