just look at the quality of his 6th goal. you dont see that these days in football. i was alive when george best was playing but what footage i have seen of him the man was a pure genius and the BEST footballer ever to grace a football field. his name says it all. we will NEVER see the likes of him again. you clearly haven't watched any good matches then haha, try spurs beating arsenal 5-1 for a start. football back then was no where near as good as it is now, mostly because pitches these days are in much better condition at all times. that makes a huge difference. money is not a huge problem- look at international games, the quality is not as good but yet they aren't playing for money but "national pride". Money is a great motivator, and the more elite the players the better.
