i knew the song fools rush in by a tv spot, and its strange because, in spite of having not seen the movie, I thought that the song could perfectly suit with a sunrise in blue and grey. I associated the song with the times I came back home from the disco at the beach with my friends, and we came strolling by the beach seeing the dawn... But now I see that the sense of smooth speed in the carriage is simply perfect with the atmosphere of the song. Awesome scene!!!!

That's what magical about 'Marie Antoinette', it is not a period film, it's about a teenager who has too grow up too fast in the fanciest, most uptight court in Europe. She just wants to have fun, be a teenager. Whenever I see this scene, her getting back to Versailles, with Fools Rush In in the background, I always remember my teen years, going out to a concert or club, and getting back home at dawn, the sun rising. Awesome times!

I love the scene where the horses and carriage are coming over the bridge, just as the sun begins to rise. A perfect seen indeed.
