@missionman541 If it has a mod folder yes. I beleive all SCS trucking games work this same method, so it should, but I dont think 18 wos haulin mods will work with Extreme trucker.

No I cant help you because I dont know what can open sii files, I don't know if they were compiled from an original file, like for example you cannot open BSP files since they are the compiled version of a VMF, so I'd google it. Aaaahg! This is the most frustrating game I've ever owned, how do you install a truck with it's own cab, it's own trailer ect. theres like five-million videos on here about that but not one really tells you how. I just got the W900 from Smokey and the Bandit (one of my all time favorite movies), but I can't work a computer to save my life. If you dont know how, I'll keep a lookin'.

When I made this video there wasn't 1 other video about how to do this, and then everyone learned from ME and then made videos on how to taking credit for themselves, which is annoying, so if anything follow MINE. And I don't get what you mean by its own cab.... I mean whatever comes with the mod is what you get, if you mean you don't want a truck replacing a truck you need a standalone And this is the easiest game to mod ever srsly

Nah J/K its cool. But dude, there can be alot of reasons. My main guess is your computer cant handle the game full graphics. Try shutting off programs in the background. Also, did you install any mods which may make this happen?

@richsditch Lol map editors arent cheats their developer tools ;-) You need to go through a whole series of steps to get the developer console and everything to go on and edit files, I did it but don't remember even a clue on how to do it, lol! But just google how to get the 18wos haulin map editor. And Idk how to make maps in that program sorry. There arent tutorials for that either :/ And as for the maps just put them in your mod folder. Extract the files to your mod folder ;-)

The mod file is in a diferent folder (For some gay reason they decided to spilt the game into two different folders and place them all over your pc) The mod file is in My Docments > 18 WoS Haulin I'm going to add a video reply just to show it

Which folder should I paste the file under?

You put it in the mod folder in my documents, 18 wheels of steel haulin, mods. Just put whatever file the readme says to put in there, it should be an SCS file.
I did, but still got lost. Thank you though. I figured out how to get the map going, I downloaded that winRAR software, extracted files and put it on the mod folder, then it worked. But I wish I could learn how to make my own trucks and modify then, but every forum I go to online, I fail to find a thread for the true, first time beginner. I'm creative and if explained once, I would be able to design some cool trucks.
Err, MSfeller, its not like learning how to use microsoft word for example. You need to go to graphics designing school to learn it. It would take so much teaching, you'd need a payed teacher to teach you. Not to mention the 700-2,000 dollar programs you'd need. You cannot just say "hey, anyone wanna help?" Its not easy, and it requires professional training. If you'd like to do that, then there are plenty of collages. ;)

I have alot on my hands, I really don't have the time to guide you through something this simple! Download Alzip, open the file you downloaded in alzip, drag the needed files into the mod folder! And why did you say "tell me if I need to do anything else". Why would I leave something out in the tutorial. See the updated tut.

Yeah, my freind got it and his computer got hacked. I didnt know if it was just where he got it from. But yeah, that settles it, get Alzip everyone, its free, well, when I got it it was, now I think you have to buy it.
They seem to use the same coding, but the game is newer, and i've coded for OTHER games, and from my experience and knowlage of coding no. But its worth a shot, aint it?
I told you how to in the video. Its not so hard that I am gonna send a tutorial to you. Lol. Drag the SCS files into the mod folder. Read a bit back through the comments as a question and answer. Thats usually helpfull. :) Also, there is a new version of this tutorial, I used a screen recorder that time.
Restarts refresh every file in your computer. So it may work, because usually when there is a problem like that, a restart, refreshing all the files will help. If not, if you have multiple mods in the mods folder, then move all them to another folder, and see if that mod by itself works, and keep adding the mods, 1 by 1, trying each one untill it stops working, and then you've found the problem! You see, sometimes mods cancel eachother out, so one may not work.
It should be there in the game. To see, just go to the gallery or whatever it is in the menu, and look through the trucks. Sometimes the mod doesn't come with a pic, so in the menu, the truck might still have the icon as the origional truck that came with the game, so if u dont see it go through all the trucks, and it MIGHT be there. If not u did something wrong, and I can help u if so, or the mod is just a bad mod.

do these mods work on american long haul to because i downloaded american long haul and i saw there arent very many mods for that game so i was wondering if haulin mods work on it too?
Installing them on Long Haul is the EXACT same, its never changed from convoy to euro truck simulator. BUT there might be a compatability error, but it cant hurt to try! ;)

I don't know how to work with the mods, man. I'm lost! I even try forums and stuff and folks just don't seem that they wanna help at all. I wanted to design my own trucks, then I gave up cause nobody wanted to explain to me. Well, anyways, I got this new map, it is a "rar" file, and I don't know where to put it in order to work. Which folder should I paste the file under?

You put it in the mod folder in my documents, 18 wheels of steel haulin, mods. Just put whatever file the readme says to put in there, it should be an SCS file.

I did, but still got lost. Thank you though. I figured out how to get the map going, I downloaded that winRAR software, extracted files and put it on the mod folder, then it worked. But I wish I could learn how to make my own trucks and modify then, but every forum I go to online, I fail to find a thread for the true, first time beginner. I'm creative and if explained once, I would be able to design some cool trucks.

Err, MSfeller, its not like learning how to use microsoft word for example. You need to go to graphics designing school to learn it. It would take so much teaching, you'd need a payed teacher to teach you. Not to mention the 700-2,000 dollar programs you'd need. You cannot just say "hey, anyone wanna help?" Its not easy, and it requires professional training. If you'd like to do that, then there are plenty of collages. ;)

I told you how to in the video. Its not so hard that I am gonna send a tutorial to you. Lol. Drag the SCS files into the mod folder. Read a bit back through the comments as a question and answer. Thats usually helpfull. :) Also, there is a new version of this tutorial, I used a screen recorder that time.

Restarts refresh every file in your computer. So it may work, because usually when there is a problem like that, a restart, refreshing all the files will help. If not, if you have multiple mods in the mods folder, then move all them to another folder, and see if that mod by itself works, and keep adding the mods, 1 by 1, trying each one untill it stops working, and then you've found the problem! You see, sometimes mods cancel eachother out, so one may not work.

It should be there in the game. To see, just go to the gallery or whatever it is in the menu, and look through the trucks. Sometimes the mod doesn't come with a pic, so in the menu, the truck might still have the icon as the origional truck that came with the game, so if u dont see it go through all the trucks, and it MIGHT be there. If not u did something wrong, and I can help u if so, or the mod is just a bad mod.

Installing them on Long Haul is the EXACT same, its never changed from convoy to euro truck simulator. BUT there might be a compatability error, but it cant hurt to try! ;)
