  • Chuck Norris's bathtub

  • I with USA broadcasted surfing on our evening news.

  • Was that a kayak or a paddle board at the end?

  • Bruce Irons surfs it switch

  • just to see the wave

  • Fuck this. I wouldnt even be on the beach!

  • @RacingTurtl3 ya truw ay good point belly

  • @RacingTurtl3 lol this is far out from the beach. It takes 15 minutes to paddle out to those waves.

  • @tcco94

woah easy there genius. Figure of speech, you know? And no one paddles out there fool. You take a boat.

  • @RacingTurtl3 Didn't mean it like that dude lol.

  • h-o-l-y s-h-i-t

  • chowpoo...dumbass

  • it all about NOT getting towed in.. try again!

  • that is just disgustingly, horribly, fantastically scary!!! Wot balls of cast iron Manoa has.

  • lol usa are gay

but 10 metres isnt 30 feet

3 feet is 90 centimtres soo...

    awkward

  • TRUE. Laird is the best.. But let's not downplay the size of this guy's Tahitian balls!!

  • laird's wave was bigger

  • @krondelo...actually 10 meters is 32.8 feet.....so whos the moron?

  • Respect

  • Man , I piss on waves that big . I'll ride it on a tooth pick while taking a piss and reading a porn magazine . I only surf 400 ft waves , god makes them for me out in the pacific , then I ride them on a skate board . We have an agreement , God and I .

  • Surfers, where is the Aloha in this comments section ?

Teahupoo needs it's own scale, it is so thick and the reef so shallow.

Obviously height for height Chopes breaks muck harder than

Waimea Bay , or any other wave I have ever seen.

Speaking from 39 years in Hawaii and Indonesia.

  • Krondelos mom is a moron

  • Lairds wave was beautiful, a wall like glass, great light, and a perfect set up. This wave is a beast,. Bigger, darker, and arguably thicker. But who cares which is better, both waves are beyond comprehension, hats off to both surfers, unbelievable tekkers!

  • oh thats not very big of a wave i wanna see some REALLY BIG waves

  • @MrBostonlc I dont think you would go out with waves that size

  • Laird's wave still wins hands down.

  • woo channel 10! use the metric system!

  • someone pull my jaw up

  • surf overdose..

  • bigger and better than lairds

  • @alexander211974 not a chance son

  • everyone who gave krondelo a thumbs up is a moron

  • @camcam752 youh gay

  • tamed it? no way! he rode it and prayed for its mercy!

  • @MrBenjaminboy you cannot tame a wave...

  • @thebrettles i never said you could.

  • @MrBenjaminboy I know I was agreeing with you

  • @thebrettles oh :P

  • Laird's wave was better.

  • USA's comment was to some other guy. Please please please know what your flaming about.

  • Skindog of the Maverics crew surfed a 66ft wave in stepping into liquid....So thats bullshit

  • People saying this wave is not as scary as a larger wave somewhere else don't get it. Look at how much of the wave folds over into the lip when it sucks up onto the reef and breaks. It almost seems to defy physics. Waves shouldn't do what this wave does. It is freaky, scary, and deadly. I don't think you've catch me out there on a 2 foot day.

  • 10 meters = 33 feet fool. n it says the biggest wave surfed in Tahiti, not the world!

  • I think youtube is where euro people come to complain about american ways but nobody really gives a fuck.

  • i woulnt say this is the biggest it was pretty good tho i still love laird hamiltons wave though

  • he said ''chowpoo''

  • @Krondelo you truely are a fool.... you know if you would have read my replies to the idiot fucks like you you would already would have known that my comment was about some random ass drunk fucker claiming to have surfed 50 meter waves..

  • @usa1327 Sorry I didn't have time to browse tons of comments, I see what I did now but at the time I couldn't, doesn't make me a fool but okay.

  • @usa1327 i think the vid said 10 meters nothing about 50 meters. haha im just fukin with you

  • @Krondelo maybe you should look back at the other posts you moron.

  • @Krondelo They said biggest wave ridden in teahupoo

  • @Krondelo - shut up, cunt

  • @Krondelo

    Measured from the back bro.

  • @Krondelo We dont use the metric system in the us so why is the u.s stupid?

  • @matthew562 the U.S. IS stupid for NOT using the metric system.

  • @JulietsMan And we made our own system.Doesnt seem stupid to me.fucknuts

  • @matthew562 ...i know....thats why you eat manure. imma go fuck me some nuts. lepton.

  • @JulietsMan haha.thats the most idiotic anybody has ever said to me.too funny

  • @JulietsMan yes...it is.

  • @Krondelo I'm not trying to be some conversion Nazi, but it's actually closer to 33 feet.

  • this is real, obviously - miguel del toro doesn't actually exist though. in the video 'about' him, only people mentioning him are redbull sponsored surfers. kelly could be speaking of anyone. it's just redbull being cute.

  • i would float n the lip :)

  • hoe deep is teahupoo i read below that its was 3foot but i cant believe that.

  • @NixuB how

  • @NixuB yeah about 3-4ft of water and that reef can cut you up like a knife

  • @NixuB it is in this years comp there they had underwater footage of it but it is hard to believe until u see it

  • Imagine rogue waves out at sea can be 3 times bigger than this wave...

  • @azertu2u2 you want 4 times? check out miguel del toro 100 foot wave, its the biggest ever surfed. the thing about teahupoo is that its super powerful, see that thick lip, imagine how many tonnes of waters in that , if you go down here, you get beaten the shit out of.

  • 3ft below your fins is a razor sharp reef, 25feet above your head, is a monster with the reputation of the thickest wave ever, and placed on the backside of your baggys, is arguably the biggest shit stain ever.

  • god damn mother fucker :) gnarly

  • a 6 foot wave at teahupoo is a pretty nasty wave because of that crazy reef. But somethin around 30ft??! suicidal haha

  • fuking idiots he said 10 meters, damn asses cant understand english or what

  • didn't hear 50 meters once in this whole video, only 10 meters

  • 50 meters...what a douche bag. The biggest wave I ever surfed was a 7 footer. Thats a 14ft face for all you haoles out there who dont know how to measure waves.

  • @TEAMgreens oh you ride the back of the wave? silly me I've been riding the front this whole time... measuring the face is the only accurate way of calling wave height.. a 3 foot wave (by your measurement) could be a mushy ankle slapper at one spot while it's a dredging head high tube at another... ride the face.. measure the face..

  • @TEAMgreens wtf are u talking about thats not a 14ft face .... that things like a good 25-30...

  • 12 ft. is big enough for me, and even THAT gets scary.

  • Shrimp on the barbie? YA BLOODY DINGO!!!!!

    lol

  • and if you to see the wave that i am talking about go to: billabongxxl then click in ride of the year

  • there was one bigger wave in the march 17 of 2010 that was bigger then that one bbut still thats sick!!! and i wouldnt go there

  • highest iv ever boogey oarded was probly 7 feet

  • my highest wave that i surfed was 14 feet

  • Nice.

Myn was 300 ft, but I didn't surf it, I boogie boarded it.

  • heaviest most rideable wave.. u want a challenge.. paddle onto a monster out here in oz WA cyclops.. goodluck

  • Comment removed

  • look at how thick and heavy this wave is compared to cyclops. cyclops is a dangerous wave but come on.

  • fuk cyclop...y would most auzzy cunts come to tahiti for thn? no comparison there cock. Teahupoo whaaaaat

  • @tc2104

    just dont talk anymore

  • I cant believe they even compare this ...... Firstly this break should not be measured by its height... This break has changed big wave surfing allthough this is big I reckon there are much heavier rides. Secondly he wasnt even getting covered, he was sitting out side safe as houses. I dont think just because you have taken off on a big wave that you can claim it .... I have seen Shane Dorian take off on some monsters and he gets himself completely submerged in the pit...

  • Dude it was 8 feet at silverstrand on saturday and i was freaked.... uhhhh id die.. wait no i woudnt i wouldnt go out there! leave that for the pros

  • 25 footer im guessing

  • Back in the 80s, me and my buddies used to tow 'chopes on slalom water skis. The locals would paddle us in behind their outriggers. Man, they would laugh so hard when we ate it!

  • you are a doooosshhh

  • Laurie Towner FTW!!! =P

  • 40-50 meters in russia? hahaha shut the fuck up, bitch

  • I am from Oz and for me 4ft is big surf...I don't surf anymore but did for ten years between 13 and early 20's and I don't think I'd ever have the courage to paddle out in 10ft surf...maybe if I surfed everyday but still somehow doubt...these waves though are something else still.

  • Thats death

  • Period.

  • Comment removed

  • 40 or 50 meters? I don't have to do the math to say you're full of shit.

3-6 feet is plenty big enough for me.

  • hahahahahahahahaha GIMP

  • hmm 50 meters = 164.041995 feet im calling a BIG BULLSHIT...

  • @usa1327

he said 30 meters. learn to hear before you post dumbshit.

  • @MrPLOXPLOXPLOX who said 30 meters? the video said 10... that comment was to some idiot claiming something about a 50 meter wave

  • @usa1327 CLEAR UP UR FUCKING EARS 10 METERS HE SAY.

  • @MrKg1971 the video says 10 meters i know this... my rated comment was to an idiot that mentioned something about a 50 meter wave

  • @usa1327 i think he said ten meter thats about 30.something feet

  • @jweeze1 yep thanks for telling me math i already know.. the video clearly states 10 meters.. my 50 meter comment was to some moron claiming to surf 50 meter waves...

  • @usa1327 he said 10meter

  • @jimmyis904 i am aware of this... the video clearly states 10 meters.. i know this... my comment that everyone loves to fucking bash me on was to a guy way back in the comments saying he surfs 50 meter waves

  • @usa1327 Waves are measured from crest to trough not just vertically from the top of the water to the top of the wave.

  • @usa1327 uhhhhh, maybe thats why he said 10 meters. which is about right...

  • @psari210 has nobody read the countless amounts of replys ive given to idiots like you guys? the video says 10 meter monster.. i know this and its not what my commetn was about... it was about some random fuck way back when saying he surfs 50 meter waves... try reading through the comments before hating the top rated one

  • @usa1327 well said

  • @usa1327 10 meters.. not 50

  • @usa1327

why 50 metre? he said 10

  • @usa1327 dumbass you and your thumbs up buddies he said ten meters

  • @usa1327 10metres u dumb fuck.. quit hating

  • bayernmunchen007 - you are very right you're no good at maths, 45 metres is 148 ft (thereabouts)... you're joking right... would be impressed if you paddled into 6 ft without calling bullshit

  • You're and idiot.

  • your a tosser i'd like you to see you even attempt to paddle out there!

  • 0:13 that is enormous.

  • that was some seriously heavy wave man

  • Holy shit !! that first wave looked like the RED FLAG days at the point in Newport Beach when it stacked up 15 foot faces on foam boards you couldnt even ride it it was like a wall of death but it was fun

  • OMG fail vid son

  • wow thats intence

  • i could do that but dont want to...

  • oh yeah? have u ever even surfed? u would freek out and fall off your board l:)

  • Thats fucken nuts!!

  • i think i saw a house in there?

  • I think the only reason these people knew to drag the opposite hand is from Laird Hamilton's prototypical run

  • Which he did instinctively!

  • I actually taught Laird to do that. He's very appreciative towards me...

  • That's heavy duty man.....

  • back when no one knew about this wave i would boogie board it, ppl thought i was crazy, actually forced me into a mental hospital where i am now. took off on a 40 ft wave (face) and went over the falls, broke me neck and both arms and legs and had to swim to shore cause no one was out or even watching.

  • good story champ. did you also ride a shark into shore?

  • no i tried but it bit my legs off, but i used my legs as wings to fly myself to shore. ya hard to believe huh, i mean it takes years to master but some people are just born with these skills like myself.

  • yea and then i fell off my dinosaur.

  • backside to boot! not the biggest ..powerful hell yes rivals any break.

  • I wonder what makes the wave so heavy, the reef?

  • The wide open ocean swell and the fact that the change in depth at that particular pass is so abrupt.

As you said, the reef causes the break but keep in mind that the reef there is extremely shallow. Pair that with an ocean swell and you get a freak of nature of a wave.

  • anybody remember the ballad of tim webster by frenzal rhomb?

    somethings wrong with your eyes

  • i luvvv surfer they are so hot :D

  • Best surf song here

  • the thing about teahupoo waves is that it may not be the biggest but that was will be the most dangerous wave if he messed up.Teahupoo's wave is so heavy it would be like 6 lorries hitting you from all angles if he fell, plus the reef undrneath is lethal and reall shallow.

  • you guys are getting measurements all fucked up. whats 15 feet on the east coast is 10 feet on the west coast and 3 to 5 feet in hawaii.

  • Wave measurement is almost impossible to standardize. You have to take into account, face, back and ridable face + how heavy it all is. Generally the Hawians under-estimate, Seppos over-estimate and the Aussies...we get it just right! :P

  • Hawaiians dont undersestimate . if it cant kill you its 3 to 5. if it can kill you its 10 to 15 with 20 foot sneakers. its easy.

  • Easy lol.

Don't worry, I lean toward your idea of measurement. I have a Pommy mate that insists on measuring the entire face, e.g. - 2' for him is 6'. lol

Aussies tend to err on the side of conservative like Hawaiians.

  • Arguably the best surf song of this new century is 'RAINDROPS' at Crime Scene Studios.

  • Hamilton surfed tha biggest in teahupoo....try millenium wave...he's the best, a real legend

  • i rekon it is the biggest ive seen! in teahupoo

  • really? fuck man biggest wave ever ridden was like 76 feet or something like that.....thats more than double ten meters

  • 76 ft at teahupoo?thats mad, u sure?

  • Thrust!
