@randyatlantis John sings the foreign-sounding phrase "Ah! böwakawa poussé, poussé" in his song "#9 Dream." According to John, it doesn't mean anything...it is just a phrase that came to him in a dream and he decided to base a song around it. Artists are funny that way.
@pikopikochuu Makes me think should it be the one who my personality is suited to or the most beautiful but I always think the most beautiful wins everytime! Why?
well dear sir i honest recommend u Gustavo Cerati last record, FUERZA NATURAL, its i think specially dedicated to this wave and takin over pink floyds lazer lights voices .........just hear this track, watch?v=AkxZeP7ell0 , and go deep with watch?v=FqSzEVS7Vlk
@Landrew120880 Agree 100% he took drug ecstasy and brought it back to us in his music. No mean feat. He outdoes my Sweet Lord in this one. But he always was (by a long way) the top genius of geniuses. As you get older you realise just how special he was probly up there with Mozart and Beethoven
May Pang was better looking.

Can you imagine anyone coming out with this type of quality now? Its just so unusual - so - many different parts which are all really great.

This version makes it sound a bit Beatle esque.

THIS is my favorite John Lennon song.

Freakin' fantastic!! I can't decide if I like this better than the less raw and slightly dreamer, original version.

Does anyone know if the 'Ah! Bowakawa, pousse pousse' bit was a deliberate nod to My Sweet Lord?
randyatlantis 2 years ago 2
Nope, all I know is it's not translatable into any known languages, it popped out in John's dream and keep echoing in his head :)

I'm beginning to think the final vers was overproduced, this is much more intimate.
5point0 3 years ago 3
me too, but that's what you get when Phil Spector is at the board, and John knew it, so what can I say? great song either way, huh?
tatelabianca 2 years ago 3
Phil Spector had nothing to do with this album, Bianca.
BertLeysen 2 years ago 6
Phil Spector was working on Rock N Roll with John, then disappeared with all the tapes.
This whole album was produced by John alone.

I agree. this version sounds more real, more down to earth, the final version sounds too electronic or something...

yeah it does.

That is a great Lennon Tune! Love this demo too!

This is John at his very best and in my opinion, the best ex-Beatle tune. Thanx 4 the post!
