  • @BurninC4rtrage A flashlight does

  • Hey, i got my Mark III yesterday an I don't know how to do 10 frames/sec .... when i hold on the button, the camera shot 1 picture.

Witch settings i have to change??

  • @StephaneXD At the top of the camera you should see a AF.DRIVE button and move the ring dial to you see squares with a h near it.

  • @MrGeckolizard thank's a lot!!

  • 0:08 what is that box on the side of the camera body? is that a external battery? Nice

  • Since I'm not a sports photographer, and I take my time to set up and compose my photos, my 3 fps DSLR does just fine. Plus, my lenses are FAR better than these. But people who think faster is better, here's the camera for you.

  • sounds like a chopper gunner from COD

  • MACHHIINNNEEEE GUUUN!

  • @fretman67 i'm sure our difference among what is considered semi pro and pro is little these days. d7000 is perhaps all everyone want. go to... freedslr . com remove spaces and get the chance to win a Brand New Nikon D7000

  • how do you pump up the rate like that?

  • it sounds like my grandpas car:))

  • @razor1black1 i think your grandpa needs to go to a mechanic mate

  • I guarantee you most of the people on here bashing this camera is because they spent $2,000 on a Nikon camera, and now they're pissed off because it doesn't perform like this. Don't get me wrong, I have a Canon Rebel Xs, but I don't hate Nikon, I never understood the whole Nikon vs. Canon, people have different preferences, don't like it, that sucks, get over it.

  • @HiHi1013

You'll find a lot of people who only find confidence in their beliefs through bashing those who think differently or convincing others to think like they do. Quite simply, they're insecure and gutless.

  • Lol

  • Hahaha, the salesman at the end. What a porsche....

  • This might make some Canon fanboys wet their pants but unless you know what you're actually doing, an 11 FPS camera will only get you 11 BAD SHOTS PER SECOND.

  • i love this shit

    sound like a m4 :D

  • oh ah! eee! i... just jizzed...

  • wicked laugh lol

  • I'd laugh as horny as that too if I'd had that cam in my hands.

  • the problem with the d3s compared to the 1d mark iv, is that while it has 51 points, only 15 of them are crosstype, meaning more shots might be soft at a fast burst sequence, but the 1d mk iv has 39 high precision crosstype points at f/2.8, and even the mk iii has 19. btw, will you nikofags pleaseeeee stop bragging about the 1+ fps on the d3, and also its in DX crop mode, 5.1mp with NO autofocus

  • you can get a hasselblad with a nice lens and a digital back and take shitty pictures.

i know some guy in the filipines that takes really good pictures (in terms of composition) on a nokia camera phone. but there comes the little shitheads that say "nikon 11fps :D"

  • sweet!

  • faster than a machinegun

  • Fast !

  • LOOL

  • drdrdrdrdrdrdrdr ... hehehehehe :D

  • To all the people asking why-- this is not a camera to take pictures of your aunt's birthday party with, it's a professional camera marketed specifically to sports photographers and other situations where the quality of pictures vastly outweighs the cost of the camera. I'm only a student photojournalist, but I burst with my camera whenever I'm shooting sports because even one or two amazing shots is worth filling a memory card or two.

  • @ askj113. well said.

  • works for me shooting motorsports! can't afford one thought....currently looking at 7D's 8 frames per sec capability.

  • @golferchin

Do it. I love my 7D. I got some amazing action shots from a swim meet a few weeks ago with it. (I have the links in my channel if you're interested in seeing them.) But yeah, you should get it! :)

  • @IntensePizza i am almost there, I have all the EF lenses and the investment on 7D's body isn't that expensive.

  • @golferchin76 The 7d isn't worth it. Add a few more bucks for a 5d mk II. Once you go full frame.... anything less is lame.

  • @soysaucenwasabi my friend, the dslr world is that most people start with an entry level camera. In the case of Canon users, they start with 300d, 350d, 400d, 500d, (now the new 550d) or the very entry level 1000d, and are happy with them. Some people eventually opt for more advanced models for the extra functions, shooting abilities, the cameras provide. I started with a 400d, which I carried to top of mountains (snowy condition), and bottom of the ocean (with a casing).

  • @soysaucenwasabi Then like others, I save up enough and opt for a 5D MKII. It was great for a nearly a year, but eventually it lacks something. For one, it is impractical for leisure use because I must carry an external flash for night use, and it isn't fast enough for motorsports scenes. With a 7D, same bulk and weight, I don't have to carry an external flash for leisure use, and it shoots extremely fast at this price. Convenience, is why many people go from higher models to lesser models.

  • @soysaucenwasabi agreed, full frame is just excellent for just about everything. Since I used my dad's 5D mkII, I dont want to use my 30D anymore :(

  • @unidigistudios thats exactly what i do but i dont have a 30d. i want to get an eos 550d (im only 15) but well share lenses ;)

  • @joshfontanella ironically, i'm 15 too, and I always share lenses with my dad XD, I always take his 17-40mm f/4 L, that lens is just lovely (like it more than the 100-400mm L) and btw, I think that the rebels are discontinued (550D or lower), or atleast not supported by cannon anymore, you can still get the 50D or the 60D, I would preffer the 60D for the newer tecnologies, but the 50D has a magnesium alloy body, making it weather resistant (just like the 5D mkII and 30D, and also the 1D mk III)

  • I'm Nikon guy, and I get it. Because in any given situation you might get a few moments to get "the shot" .By being able to shoot in such a rapid fashion, you get a good chance of getting not just "the shot" but a few other good images.

  • Its not that you are trying to capture somthing so many times, its that the shutter is so fast in order to catch an object in motion, and to make sure you have "the perfect shot" the camera can continuously shoot. If you were trying to capture a baseball being hurled but you want the shot to "stop the ball" having a fast shutter evectively sstops the ball in the picture. The number of "clicks" is to ensure you get the picture; the speed of the shutter is to stop motion.

  • @knarleysurfer54. if you're shooting someone standing still, then there is definitely no point of shooting in burst. But shooting at fast paced movements trying to stop the motion then "shooting something that fast so many times" is perfectly relevant.

  • That thing is so much fun to shoot with!

  • OH MY GOD !!

I wish I can have it right now !!

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • dream wich will newer comes to my hand

  • Comment removed

  • hahahahahahahaha the end is so sweeet

  • hahahaha

  • the body and lens are merely accessories to the photographer.

  • agree I have a few cameras and one of those was my first , a 350 or xt and sometimes I take it while going for a walk and still it amazes me how a very little camera with a fragile build can take some pretty good shots , of course I don't use the kit lens, but still is an xt

  • Don't know if this has been answered or not yet, but what's that thing on the right side of the 40D? External battery pack? Wireless remote?

  • wireless file transfer. sends the picts to your computer.

  • This is a 1D mkIII not a 40D. It's a wireless file transmitter (maybe the Canon WFT-E2A Wireless File Transmitter)

  • sounds like a diesel truck at idle lol

  • I really hate people arguing the speed of cameras like how much greater 11 is than 10. Who cares?

  • WTF

  • Whats the lens on again???

  • Canon 16-35mm 2.8L

  • ure mum sucks hard

  • CHUCK! CHUCK! CHUCK!

  • holy shit it´s lika a Machine gun

  • the best camera on the world.. Only Canon have power!

  • Yeah, and it's funny you try to rank on the Mark III when the D3 will only shoot at 11fps when it's in 5.1mp DX crop mode, AND the AF won't operate.

    Mhmm, definitely impressive...

  • Does it help you to take better photos? No. Can have the latest and greatest and still take absolute crap.

  • amen. whenever i see canon/nikon bashing, this quote always comes to mind

"shooting nikon doesnt make you a photographer - it makes you a nikon user"

  • @shledron but by god you'll look pro walking around with one of those haha

  • @shledron True, but 10fps is an AMAZING tool for sports photographers!

  • @basilthefox thats exactly what i was thinking, this is loads better for action. high fps is a dream for skate photography

  • @shledron

Umm...yes? If you have it set up for someone winding their fastball and you have 10 pictures of his motion, you can pick the best of the photos and wind up with better photos. It's definitely better if you know what you're doing, but isn't a substitute for bad composition. It just helps with timing.

  • @shledron & i know a few of those hahah!

  • @shledron It actually does if you're in professional sports/nature photography because you can capture multiple pictures of objects that are moving quickly...

  • nice replay i got the mark||| but im planing on taking a hasselblad but i think its a big risk :S

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO!! That is too cool, now I want one.

  • lol what do u have powershot?? lmao

    loser...

  • 8.5 inches you fat worm zlars - is that like a womans name? Maybe you don't have one at all.

  • good job reading my name

i actually have no S in my username you

    ignorant bastard powershot user

  • But you agree you ARE a fat worm Zlars HAHAHAHA

  • lol sure if u think 160 lbs for a guy that is 6'2 fat then yes?

  • Okay okay...you win, you're a thin worm then Zlars.

  • nice smile at the end...

  • woahahahahhahahahahahaha! hahaahahaha. machine gun!

  • Ha!! Your mans face at the end is brill..

    HAAA

  • hahaahh that lough at the end.

    :)

  • That sounds like gunfire

  • sounds like a ... GUN!

  • Holy cow... My 400D is, hmm, pretty slow compared to this x)

  • my camera(Canon XSI) is shit compared to this camera!

  • my camera(Canon XSI) is shit compared to this camera!

But i still love my camera i take some amazing photos with it.

  • holy shit! :D i thought my 30D is a machine gun :)

  • agreed

  • Sounds nice... but.. uh.. try to do that in RAW with noise control on and see how many frames you'll get then. Shooting fast in JPG is one thing, but being able to shoot fast in RAW at, or over 8fps with noise control(s) on, is a whole different story. When the 1D3 can do that for more than 40 (RAW) frames at a time.. get back to me ;)

  • FACK MAN...

  • hahaha i really enjoyed how he is lauging :D whats that lens? 24-70 ?

  • it seems to wide at the front to be that, it could be a 17-40...*-)

  • or a 16-35

  • Yeaa, and here's me with my new Nikon D60 :D

  • Sick! Blows the D3 out of the water in AF tests now too!

  • It sounds like a sewing machine.

  • lol i betcha my 30D is sayin " i wanna be just like you when i grow up" to the 1D xD, but i still love my 30D

  • A camera this good is the inspiration for me to succeed at life :P

  • I think My Nikon D80 just ran away LOL

  • really fast, btw guys laugh was great :D

  • totally agree, nikon is not bad my hasselblad is better, i use eos 1d mark||| and 1dsmark|||

  • you've got to be kidding me. i've read this thing was fast. but the speed on this is absolutely ridiculous.

  • i'm hit...

  • yo tengo la II

    :D

  • how many are in focus? Canon still have a problem with focusing even after they've done the sub-mirror fix and upgraded the software. C'mon Canon we do not need a $4500 paper weight!

  • after that comment i would assume you like nikon. even though i have a 40d i sell slr's at best buy and i know nikon is behind canon in many aspects of camera developement.

  • yep, yet nikon's 'marketing skills' allows Nikon users to buy their technology with a relatively cheaper price than Canon.

  • trust me when i say im not biased. but it is my job to take photos and the pros im around, even the ones with nikons, say they have, or will be switching to canon. can you explain that one?

  • well in terms of technology, it's for sure that Canon's more advanced than Nikon

But at the same time, Canon are holding their technology at high prices while Nikon allow users to enjoy their technology with a cheaper price than going for Canon

  • well thats obvious. but canon has little things like free rentals of multi-thousand dollar lenses at sporting events, which for a commercial sports photographer, is rather handy.

  • Its no point in having such a high frames per second rating on a PRO camera when you cant shoot that fast in RAW and any Pro photographer would know this.

  • the POINT of high speed is stuff like sport photography where you wanna catch everything. and 3 fps just dont cut it. im pretty sure pro sport photographers either get ultra high speed cards, or just shoot jpegs.

  • im sorry, but nikon D3 pwns this camera

  • The D3 is probably up there with this one, maybe a bit better... but the 1Ds Mark III certainly poops on your little D3. ;)

  • :P

    possibly true

both are great brands with great cameras, and i have respect for both of them, though i have never personally tried this camera,i was reffering simply to the burst speed, wich is a bit faster on D3 :P

  • Haha! Yeah, there's no doubt that both companies have an edge over each other when it comes to certain things. If only we could combine the best features of both Canon and Nikon, that would be enough to make EVERY single photographer in the world happy!!! Ha!

  • That would be awsome!

  • Sounds like a diesel engine :D

  • Nikon D3 can do 11 fps, 51 AF points, 12 MP, 25,600 ISO, 1x crop factor instead of 10fps, 45 AF points, 10 MP, 6400 ISO, 1.3x crop factor. Nikon rules!

  • Note, it's only 9fps at full resolution.

  • geez that's fast - I can't see that being very useful - they need to make it take pictures before you push the button like they do with the HVX video camera that way you don't miss the moment.

  • I have a mark III - it is a piece of shit. A waste of $5500 to have to shot almost twice as many frames just to get something sharp. Service is even more a joke CPS stands for can't provide shit - thanks for not fixing it yet after 8 months

  • Thats what you get for being a photographer wannabe!Amateur bitch know thy place!!!!

  • AMATEUR!!!

  • Thanks Chuck for that little demo.. I just got word that the MkIII is undergoing yet another AF problem fix.. I'm just giving up on a MkIII body and I'll wait for a MkIV, which I am fully expecting to be 12MP, FF, and at least 8fps! a native iso 100 - 3200 is what I need most.. but I wouldn't mind 6400 + iso either.. :-)

  • hi~

    i have 1 EOS 1D Mark III

is just like a machine gun~

  • The great thing about the D3 is its low light performance (image quality etc) especially at High Iso's thats why I'm getting one over the Mk3

  • these nikon vs. canon debates are funny

i hear everyone back up their arguments by talking all about functions, settings, and menus, but i rarely every here anybody talk about the image quality.

and, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't a picture itself more important than how you get it? and besides, experiences photographers will tell you that the image quality on nikon and canon is pretty much the same given the price range

  • machine gun and a oldfartsoldier

  • If everyone stopped focusing on what camera is better (they're quite equal to be honest), and put more attention on their own photography skills, they may get better results ;)

  • i would literally KILL for that camera...

  • Why though, it's a professional camera. You only want it so you look more professional.

  • Its fast but there are SERIOUS problems with the AF, be smart, get the D3

  • have you heard of digital cameras, that have manual settings? including being able to do everything manually? the only difference is what media you are using. "noob"

  • nooblet city

  • you're a fucking moron. we all know you're some gear-whore kid who doesnt even own an SLR, let alone a Mark III. tell me this, are you going to be manually focusing at a sports game or a bicycle race? Uh... didn't think so dipshit.

  • that's because we can't aford to buy one.

  • you're not a pro, you don't need one.

  • no? you don't think the d300 or the nikon d3 could compete or is in the same line of the eos 1ds mark III?

I wanted a nikon (something affordable and great in low light) and my friend continues to brag about the nikon... I was almost persuaded to get it...

  • i was looking at side by side pics, mkIII and D3, and the D3's AF seemed more accurate, although a lil slower than the mk iii. Personally i would get a d3 if the lenses were the same quality, nikkor vs L.

  • Just hope that little auto focus problem's been fixed.

  • d80 is obvious a completely different camera and isn't even meant to compete in the similar market to this camera.

whereas the d3 on the other hand, is equal if not superior to this

  • So far it seems superior, and it's not based on specs only, quite a few people have already had a chance to try it.

  • wooooooooooow !

  • Wow so that's the sound that a poor kid, with face covered with blood, in one of African countries hear when a "photographer" tries "burst mode" on him/her? How inspiring, perhaps one of 1467 frames will succeed at World Press Photo?

  • What is with his laugh? Did he just cum in his pants?

  • oh, ive seen em mate, canon still beats it fps wise, which is what the pros want

  • no wonder nikon has no chance in the pro market

  • Are you sure?Check the nikon D3 specifics a think again:)

  • No chance? Oh, only the chance that many pros may be turning to nikon because of the new D3.

  • lol go play with your point & shoot. nikon OWNS the pro market you stupid shit.

  • WTF nikon is utter shite compared to Canon

  • Wow, that's beastly.

  • "Well, right now, none. But, the comment didn't associate cost to the quality or speed comparison. Within 5 years, there will be video cameras capable of shooting SLR quality for less than $5K." Says and expert... Haha, what a dumbass. WTF do you do for a living?

  • koolgiy do you know ANYTHING about cameras? two different classes of cameras here. The AF, Noise control, dynamic range, burst speed,is better, it's a weather sealed, metal body... etc. The only thing on paper that the d80 is "better" at is .1 (a tenth) of a megapixel of higher resolution, which is a marketing gimmick anyway. I also own a D80, which I enjoy, but it is not a better camera, it is designed for consumers and is a great value for $1000, I would trade it for a this in a heartbeat.

  • Just got one of these and I played with it all day and night.

  • like a machinegun :D
