This is my faveourite film verison of Pinocchio.

That puppet of the movie it's great! One of the most good puppets what I ever seen in a movie after Audrey II from "Little shop of horrors"

@LiquidSolidRaiden Why? Because it's cute and charming? ...Read the orignal book dude (yes, Pinocchio it's a book, not a fairy tale), the original novel is really surreal, edgy and sometimes really dark. Even more of this movie, wich I really love.

The Disney version is good only for the animation. It has just the 7% of the book...

The whale is actually a man named Lorenzini who is the main villain throughout the movie. At first, he is a highly ambitious puppet-maker who also happens to own a theme park. That theme park features a magical stream of water that will transform you into whatever you act like--boys who act like jack-asses are turned into donkeys. Ironically, Lorenzini himself is knocked into the water and undergoes his own transformation which turns him into a monstrous whale. It's a freaky transformation too.
