This I hope just goes to show how many layer's there are of different culture's in South Africa, which I think is a truly a culturly cosmopolitan place EVER. From a True South African. Rock on boys..also check out Voodoo Child Band from South Africa, you will be blown away by a "black" lead singer .

It's hip hop because Black people produce this great song. And yes, they do deserve the genre respect they deserve. Psychedelic is correct. This is great!

Yeah, I don't know about the "hip hop" label either... This is more like TV on the Radio meets world beats- lots of styles influence them and I don't think hip hop is even the top one. good song!
