This is the second Will Smith movie that never got a toyline made that was deserving of one with I-Robot being the first one. Hancock = one of the BEST superhero genre shows I have seen. Hancock = the original Superman starring C. Reeves and the 1st Blade starring Wesley Snipes. Hancock easily beats EVERY Batman movie, EVERY X-Men movie, Sin City, Daredevil, Iron Man and Spider-Man movies. These other characters (especially Batman and the X-Men) are PLAYED OUT AND BORING AS HELL. I look forward to the Hancock sequel. I won't even consider watching the boring, hairy Wolverine movie.

Hancock by his LONESOME is powerful enough to defeat the X-Men, Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Punisher; etc... Hancock is powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with Superman.

When it comes to "cool factor", Hancock defeats all of the other forementioned superheroes by far. Will Smith's good looks alone makes him a far more attractive character than Downey, Jackman, or Afleck. Hancock = #1

Next to Blade and the 1st Superman movies, Hancock is ORIGINAL in the sense that the hero has a very compelling story that comes closer to real life challenges than even Peter Parker/Spider-man does. Smith and Charlize Theron make a hot and sexy coupling. Fanboys wouldn't like Smith/Theron because of the race thing. The Hancock "movie twist" was cool. Cloak and Dagger movie = another black male/white female pair. Fanboys will hate that movie too because of that "taboo".

The build up of Hancock being a superhero everybody hated was an interesting concept but after he is loved by everyone it seems like they just wanted to wrap up the movie as quickly as possible. It is split between audiences and critics as good or bad so don't just rely on one persons review.

The movie had symbolic references you can read from the writers perspective. First he thinks there are female angels (false). Why is it a white woman and black man had to be separated to be strong?
