Yes, it was used in that commercial, its name is Palomita Blanca by Gardel and Le Pera written around the early 1900's!!! So in fact, the commercial used this really old song to avoid paying much royalties!
Ooooooops!!!! Palomita Blanca was written by Anselmo Aieta and Francisco Garcia Gimenez not by Gardel and Le Pera!!! So, it is even older than I thought, maybe even from last few years of the 1800's. The orchestra interpreting it in the commercial though is Hector Varela's from the 19 fifties and sixties (maybe up to seventies!)
Palomita blanca is from 1929.
