I prefer Susan Keith's Cecile. Nancy Frangione played her very one-dimensionally, especially when the writing shifted and the show became an odd mix of camp, glam, and country. The 80s killed this soap (and Gloria Monty, cable tv and later the Internet put the final nail in the coffin of the genre itself, but that's another post).
@azzorroww : i think rachel was saying please, call me miss davis (rachel's maiden name). i think at the time of this scene, she and mac were no longer married. i could be wrong though.
Perfect combo of great acting and writing. The subtext between Rachel and Cecile is just wonderful, and the actors play it very skillfully. Now THIS is how it's done!
