@mr41ststreet Black men could vote before White women. The 15th Amendment (1870) disallowed voter discrimination on the basis of race. The 19th Amendment (1920) disalloed voter discrimination on the basis of sex. It is true that there were literacy tests, poll taxes and property requirements that disenfranchised Blacks as well as poor Whites. But Black men were in fact able to vote before White women. Race trumps sex.

Yes there was white servitude(informal slavery), and nobodies trying to cover that up. The reason why African slavery is prioritized, is not due to political correctness, but because it was on a drastically larger scale and lasted much longer in America .

Years ago I met a 94 year old Irish American who told me that when he was a small child he'd walk with his dad and signs would be posted saying "no dogs or Irish allowed" yet blacks were allowed.
