  • MY FAVORITE KATE PERFORMANCE EVER!!! Great band!!!! Great bass... Great great great Pete Towsend!!!

    Love this.

  • isn't it Phil Collins drumming ?

  • @mirektopolanek That is Phil on drums. He was one Hell of a drummer. Damn shame that he injured his back on the 2007 Genesis tour to the point where he suffered spinal damage and nerve damage in his hands. He was one of the major reasons why I took up drumming. Kate Bush had a great band here. Peter Hope-Evans adding that bluesy harmonica on this great live version here.

  • My favorite video on youtube.

And that bass by Mick Karn! Agh! Unbelievable. Makes me want to cry listening to it after his death. Such a great talent that man had.

  • OMG I remember when I saw for the first time Never for Ever album on the shelves back in 1980, I can quite feel the emotion I felt that time. Wonderful album, amazing art cover,. and I have never been the same after I came accross Kate's music. Love you!

  • I love how she seemed to take the wardrobe malfunction all in stride, lol. She laughed it off rather than run off the stage scared.

  • @IAmPlaysWithSquirrel And unlike other Artists, she is VERY modest about it! Not only does this woman have talent and style. She has CLASS!

  • @ApacheTim a role model indeed haha

  • Love Mick Karn's bass!!! Funny, after her "wardrobe malfunction," Pete and Midge keep looking over, ever hopeful! LOL

  • Do you have Pete Townshend's "Slit Skirts" from this same concert? Pete performed that song on piano, only help was provided by Mick Karn on fretless bass. I wish I could see that gem!

  • @mirzamarco yes,Pete's song from this show is on youtube.Just do a search

  • this is the line up i want for my wedding list hehe

  • Ooh!!! That bass is instantly recognizable! I love Mick Karn! Kate is sooooo beautiful...

  • Love the strap breaking - but then, who doesn't!

  • Wow I allready messed up 2 comments with my bad grammar/english.

Maybe it's Kate, she kinda distracted me..

Anyways,, a great performance and Mick was great (as always).

  • Ah mate I just got really emotional

  • RIP Mick......a real natural music talent

His superb style always made every track he played on sound that much better

  • RIP Mick.......

  • Wow that was great. Mick Karn well he was amazing. R.I.P Mick.

  • much as i love kate, why didnt she do babooshka here? rather than a fairly obscure album track. her last live appearance in a concert!

  • Did I see Midge Ure as well?

  • Mick you were a god amongst men

  • R.I.P Mick

  • Look at 3:43 !!! Simply amazing.

He was a true genius. Heard his music since 1982.

All I can do now is listening to his music, look at pictures, think about the past.

Oh man, that hurts a lot....... :(

  • @ZGOBL Yeah, he was a crazy bass player. Didn't even need think about it, knew it inside out.

  • Amazing stuff, if only Kate had performed live more, she was really good at it, I love seeing her in front of a band like this.

Also R.I.P. to the one and only Mick Karn

  • Incredible members! Kate Bush is my favorite female singer, but I was very shocked to hear about Mick's death ... I can't stop watching his videos ... I loved his style and his base line. May he rest in peace.

  • WOW! What an assemblage: Kate Bush, Mick Karn, Midge Ure, Phil Collins, Pete Townshend etc. Incredible to have them all on one stage together!

  • Superb song, made even better by Mick Karn's amazing bass playing.

I was quite shocked to hear about his death. May he rest in peace.

  • forget KB i cant take my eyes off Mick -he looks awesome plying along with his bassx

  • It is one of the greatest travesties in music history that this great man was almost abandoned by the mainstream. Hopefully his tragic passing will result in a reappraisal of his great body of work. I keep listening to Wishy Washy Wishing tonight - it is the perfect sountrack to these sad times. Hats of to John Taylor for paying due respect.

  • what difference had Mick made? a huge one, his sound is unique, wherever he goes, whichever band he joins, he has his own voice, one and the only Mick. We love you.

  • RIP Mick...what a sad sad loss to music :o(

  • RIP Mick Karn

  • RIP Mick Karn

    :-(

  • RIP Mick!

  • Mick Karn on bass :( great bass palyer...... good bye music miss you

  • rip mick karn

  • Tarantino eat your goddamn heart out

  • Her band is fantastic...she is also...Kudos to a perfect performance...Height of the eighties.

  • wardrobe failure xD

  • I love this, and the fact that Jethro Tull came on directly after!

  • One of my fave Kate Bush songs. Pure wicked fun! Kate's a genius.

  • the original is great but Mick Karn's growling bass just adds something extra

  • A genuine genius, and a true professional.

  • our kate has one of those voices you recognize right off. and our mick has the bass sound you can recognize right off as well. be well mick. remember we who love you are praying for you.

  • Phil Collins on drums.....doh!

  • I so LOVE this woman. She is crazy sexy cool!!!

  • Amazing and townsend on guitar and collins on drums, wow.

  • its great to see some great men doing backing vocals for Mdm Bush.. beautiful

  • Wow-what a great rarity here! Pete Townsend, Phil Collins and Kate-Plus I have always loved this song. I don't think it was released as a single , was it? I didn't think it was but someone else may know different?

  • the best song i've ever heard about killing a guy then yourself then they found out your pregnant so it has 3 deaths in 2 bullets

  • This video is amazing thanks for posting it ,Its so great to see Mick along side Kate what a truly sparkling & stunning combination.

  • wow! ! ! ! dream team !

    >Mick Karn is in my opinion one of the best bas players on earth.

    me to ! !

  • How great is this??? Fantastic performance from KB and Mick Karn rules on bass. Absolutely fantastic playing... Oh and I think that's Phil Collins on drums and Pete Townsend on guitar... but it's clear who's driving this tune!

  • wow !...excellent. Thanks thanks thanks Yiandar !

  • THREE WORDS: I LOVE KATE !!!!! <3

  • good lord i can watch it thousand times. she's PERFECT in each of them

  • i can't beleive the strap of her dress snapped off!

  • This freaked me out a bit when I saw all the famous people around her - I thought I was imagining things. What a supergroup!

  • @EJNormanOfficial.A supergroup and a superwoman!

  • I really want to see if there is another woman like this in the world... no other can use her voice like she does, be so femenin and sensual, so powerfull. Genius

  • @janaherde.That's why we love her!

  • I understand you intergration1000.

I cannot believe the band she assembled for this performance!

    My favourite vid of all-time.

  • @janaherde So beautifully said. She is so fantastic. Ditto to each word. :-) Peace and love.

  • @janaherde Well, each person's different, but I definitely see Regina Spektor being influenced by her.

  • @janaherde Let's hope that the music industry will produce another Kate Bush...unlikely but we can hope

  • @Neueregel that's the thing...the music industry didn't produce kate bush. what you see is what you get with kate. a true talent to the very core.

  • @janaherde Are you familiar with Imogen Heap?

  • What a great Gilmour discovery.

  • when she screams ''wedding list'' ahh..epic!

  • and her music is eternal

  • She is WONDERFUL!!!

  • The bass guitar sounds amazing. Mick Karn is in my opinion one of the best bas players on earth.

  • @randylever Mick rules

  • @randylever Indeed. However, unfortunately he is presently dying in Cyprus of cancer.

  • @thubtennyima He is fighting cancer, not dying! Please go to Mick's website and support him.

  • @randylever yeah mick karn is amazing i love this clip

  • @randylever Mick Karn just died, RIP...

  • @randylever

and now he is dead :-(

  • she is 100% Profi

  • Horrible situation

  • karn is amazing.

  • I said it before and I'll say it again: Kate has beautiful breasts.

  • Oh man...is that important ?! ...what a stupid comment

  • Kate's famous wardrobe malfunction, near the end.

  • Comment removed

  • God Karn is such a sex symbol lol!

  • ...amazing how 90% of all comments relate to Mick Karn :)

I mean, his IS influential, even today, that is evident.

  • This is one hellva all-star band with the gorgous Kate Bush.

  • Gay or not. his an awesome bass player. I aspire to be as awesome one day...

  • Mick Karn is a fine musician. Buy his music if you are..

    a) delighted by his product

    b) gay

Doesn't matter, just enjoy the muzak :)

  • Mick Karn is straight lol. He has a baby and I think hes married to his partner

  • funny hearing this say from someone who loves Human League.

I love them too, by the way. But your comment is soooooo gay

  • They both did! Yet she kept it going!! Hot damn! Love that woman!!

  • Jesus!! Her strap popped off!! 3:28

  • WOW! Never noticed this before!!

  • Hot performance! Love Kate! I thought that was the bassist for Japan. HE is awesome! Thanks tarka1966! Had Japan's Swing as a favorite but it got removed!! I'd saved it mostly 'cause of the bass!

  • bring back top of the pops.

  • Comment removed

  • whos that weird looking bass player

  • Mick Karn,formerly of Japan.

  • great bass playing!

  • Total and utter class.

  • Priceless! This is the best performance of this song! Kate is arguably the most original female artist of all time. There's nothing like her music. No one can emulate her, they can only try. Madonna, Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney ... all sleazy & phony. Kate has class.

  • I guess I would have to agree with you there they pretty much do what the studio hands them its not the same passion.

  • Kate Bush is an original. Those jezebels whom are spawns of Satan Britney and Madonna are frauds who can't sing nor write their own crap and copy what Kate did before they came out. Thanks to David Gilmour for discovering her and Peter Gabriel helping her get some exposure. Also thanks to Pete Townshend, Phil Collins, Mick Karn, Midge Ure, Peter Hope Evans (the harmonica player) and the keyboard player who all turned a great song into a monstrous classic EPIC.

  • Fantastic performance - but yet another factor as to why KT doesn't tour. She is terrified of exposure and here, she is very nearly exposed!

She looks extraordinary - braids, short skirt, boots and that top - almost quintessential rock chick. Did this experience put her off appearing like this every again? After this, she appears almost fully covered until 'Love and Anger' in 1990.

  • fantastic performance! probably my favourite song by her. does anyone know the name of the song that starts to play at the end of the video, after kate finishes this song?

  • jethro tulls pussy willow

  • oh god hahaha! i thought her top was going to fall off! that's why you should wear a bra Kate lol, although i'm sure your male fans wouldn't object to seeing a little more of you..

  • ancora molto brava.............

  • grazie domy per condividerla...si e' molto bella....pier

  • just phil collins and kate bush woooa

    kate bush est ma reine!!!

  • Mick Karn on bass very cool.

  • I thought that was the bass player from bow wow wow

  • that Bass player use to be in a band called JAPAN!

  • If Kate Bush had been royalty she would of made the coolest queen of all.

  • this is a neat song of her's.. very clever lyrics...

  • Sweet Kate springing a strap on her dress and no bra to fall back on.. Bugger Tull and Pussy Willow as a follow-up. I know whose pussy willow I want to fire my Jethro at..

I'd also give Kate Bush's tits a massive aaaararrr...

She still has that bottom lip at 45 and Paddy Bush will still get punched in the head if he gets in my way..

  • I didn't think "Never For Ever" was as good as any of her other albums...except for the wonderful tracks "Army Dreamers", "Babooshka" and especially "Breathing"...

  • She will always be my first obsession. God she is ethereal and other worldly.

  • Hot.

  • Mick's playing is superb. Kate is beautiful.

  • Mick's playing is superb. Both are beautiful!

  • I have lived to hear and see the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Pat Metheny and Bette Davis....Humankind may go down ultimately as a waste, but the later part of the 20th century was a golden age.

  • She's lovely

  • She should'a just let those Puppies swing loose! Let us all see um! Kate Bush always way ahead of her time way be4 Janet J with the pretend clothing malfunction kate show'd class by just teasing us! musics good 2.

  • Yarp!

  • lol!

  • archaeology

  • Brilliant. I love her. Never saw this before.

  • Too much tension on more than guitar strings...I guess.

  • She never ceases to delight me. This dark, dark song, "It must have been Rudy's child...he hit the ground, Rudy! I hit him! I hit him!" And Kate just going at it for what it's worth--"Wow! wow! wow! Unbelievable!" Excuse me, perhaps, I go too far...

  • OH now I saw it... (she handeled it with grace)didn't notice it at first...Kate is Great!

  • Brilliant

  • Brilliant, and interesting that she has a wardrobe malfunction that, hmm, she decided NOT to capitalize on. That's class. Not to mention that she really sounds terrific during this performance. She's confident, strong, belting it out for all it's worth. Wonder if Truffaut ever saw/heard this musical re-telling of his film, THE BRIDE WORE BLACK? Love Kate's unique brand of gothicism and depravity--swoon-worthy!

  • Kate is amazing...love her live...What wardrobe malfunction I didn't know she had one!

  • Mick's way of playing the bass, make songs interesting..

  • Oh..we have a bass enthusiast in the house :) Another fan of Karn.

  • we all are a fan of the genius Mick Karn :D

  • i think never for ever and the dreaming are the best

  • This genius songwriter is so big and loved but still underappreciated. The Wedding List is, I believe, one of the greatest songs in the pop history, but it seems that even her fans think it's only good. The amazing Never For Ever is also unfairly overshadowed by Hounds of Love.

  • I agree with you. Lionheart is also very underrated!

  • @awnplmigo.She's underappreciated. But she's the best artist ever for me and I think "Never For Ever" is as great as "Hounds Of Love","The Kick Inside" and "The Dreaming".Four masterpieces!

  • Yeah wardrobe malfunctions were different back in the day. But it's sooo cute and has gone down in Kate Bush mythology.

  • Only just found this. OMG. Just completely amazing!

  • i love, love, love this number. love the satin top with the breakaway straps. what a trooper, she just keeps on singing.

  • Kate woulda kept on had both straps busted.

The song, the audience, her fellow musicians mean more to her.

  • If you look both straps do break! Look towards the end - the one on the other side has broke too. She is a fantastic performer, wish she would tour!

  • Kate has a fear of flying.

Think she came to North America once by ship.

    Limits her touring.

  • I think it's a single strap around the back of her neck. It snaps, and there's a piece dangling behind her as well as the one she's holding onto in the front. Never misses a note, though. What a trooper.

  • Talented and sexy....Wonderful

  • What's with Pete Townshend's Dr. Evil suit? lmao!!

  • he got it from your closet....haha.

  • I agree.

  • yes its from 'never for ever'. i think she's amazing

  • Is this on any abums?

  • Kate going strapless....

  • he might be an amateur but if kate Bush likes his playing then stbfu

  • Mick Karn playing a Wal!

    Some folks wet dream!

  • omg u should get this audio thing on ure computer then turn up the karaoke sound to +4 hah its sooo funy
