Thanks for the up-load! I always look at the video on a sunday morning before my Rugby games. It gives me insperation, and guess what? I'm now top try scorer. haha
Although I am an avid All Blacks supporter. When Bryan Habana came on to the world rugby stage he was in a class of his own. He was the turbine engine on the jumbo jet that is South African rugby. Regardless of players that may be faster, stronger or may have stood him up on defence he is an amazing player and nobody will take that from him he is and will remain one of the most exciting players of world rugby
At 1:49 in my opinion if ur a back thats one of the best tackles u can do, hes made him lose ground, knocked him off balance eventually causing him to go down and given his fowards time to get there
Bryan Habanna will go down as one if not the best of all south african wings. Just the amount of tries he has scored speaks for itself. South Africa is not a team who generally uses their wings a lot. If he played in the NZ team he would have probably scored twice the amount of tries. He is a great player of the modern game much respect.
@buttera03, oh are we now? What a strong man you are for posting that comment. Why do so many brits come here anyway? Do you like Bryan Habana or something? Of course you'll answer no, but then I know why you looked it up so no point. I challenged the fact that New Zealand played just as shit as any team this year but had an easy route to the final, Its undeniable that South Africa or Australia would fuck up Japan, Canada and Argentina. No disrespect, but we know it. 'Mighty all blacks'? Hardly.
@donkerskaduwee Every top team had an easy run for the cup thats the way they set the cup up they put two good teams in each pool and then fill the rest of the spots up with the other teams. Also New Zealand may have played shit in the final but they were by far the best team throughout the rest of the cup. Australia fucked up their chance to go into the final by losing to Ireland. South Africa, Australia, England and the others lost because they were a worse team during the cup no other reason.
guys all of you should just man up and just agree that hes one of the best! maybe hes not been on form but hes a game winner just like shane williams :( ohh i'll miss him
Brian o driscall (legend) best centre in the game! Ronan o gara one of the best FHs in the game! Taught i might mention irelands amazing back row 2 since yer all ranting about great players!! O brien, Ferris, heaslip, leamy, wallace! Forgive me if im wrong but best back row in the world :)
at his best he is the best winger in the world, not the fastest but the best.in my opinon chavanga is quicker but not as all round as habana.ngwenya is a fraud and is living of that world cup moment and if evryone watches it you can clearly see that even from a standing start habana catches him just jumps to soon.
I see so many stupid comments here that compare habanna with this and that.Let me clear a few things here, remember RWC 2007?Habanna pretty much won that cup for us.
Remember 2009?Now all the nasty backlash comments and sarcasm is welcomed :)Throw anything at me,but know this...Wales can't play rugby for shit and south africa will most likely win the cup again.Just look at our line out and forwards...Oh and did i mention the new blood?Only nz,aus and england will rival us,the rest fall flat :)
@donkerskaduwee stop acting like u know it all u arrogant prick, world cups are famous for surprises.. seeing as new zealand have been favourites for every single world cup and have only managed to win once i wouldnt be too surprised if there was a shock winner.. and anyway the way it pans out now, your beloved south africa look set to play australia and then new zealand if they win.. so good luck with that dickhead :)
@jacklfcaddict, Im not acting that way.In fact I dont even watch rugby but my father got me into it.It became so boring after a while since you pretty much know the story by now. There's always the top teams and then there's the teams that almost make it but don't.
I'll grant you that 'surpises' part though. In my mind England will cause an upset, just wait. And Wales have proven me wrong this year, they pretty much thrashed SA in the first game and their form is showing promise,Ireland too.
@soapscaresme, I didn't want to post a nasty comment but here yo go XD What's the difference between Wales and South Africa? Its the fact that we've won 2 world cups where Wales has yet to win even 1. We started rugby way later than New Zealand and almost have a record equal to theirs.
What has Welsh rugby done in the last 20 yrs? I am only 20 but people keep talking about how well Wales played in the 70s. That's a long ass time ago, if you last played well at that time then something's off.
@donkerskaduwee Wales won a couple of six nations grand slams a few years back, and they've got some great young players in the squad now (Sam Warburton, George North, Rhys Priestland, Bradley Davies, Leigh Halfpenny, Scott Williams, Toby Faletau, Jonathon Davies etc.) so things are looking up ;)
@JTudders, not only are things looking up, along with Ireland I think Wales played the best and most exciting rugby at this years tournament out of all the teams. The only reason France even won is because Sammy got sent off, that tip tackle was a bit of a strong one but the guy's a brute so its to be expected. Yellow still seemed justified and not Red imo. Wales are a force, they beat South Africa fair and square, all they needed to do was use the penalties, but that'll come as the team ages.
@walesxscarlets,no shit they did, when did that one hit you? Lets rather not talk about HOW we lost it, if you're a Wales fan then you know as well as I do that both our teams were cheated out of the world cup and not kicked out fairly.
Wales might of not because of the whole misread tackle from Sam Warburton which then led to no captain for the entire match, but they led a good fight against France.
Although, in all honesty, I don't think Wales or South Africa could of beat the Mighty All Blacks.
@RobertAdamsonn, I don't know what game or what world cup you were watching but judging by your youtube photo you look like a young boy. This entire tournament of 2011 was rigged in Nz's favour. The mighty all blacks? Hardly, they faced Canada, Japan and Argentina, are you blind or what? South Africa would smash all those teams and beat them by more points than New Zealand could.
South Africa proved that its easy to beat weak teams by beating namibia 87-0 NZ can be lucky they cheated with refs
@RobertAdamsonn, you're 100% right they did. But the entire tournament was rigged, you're too young so I do not expect you to understand, but there are adults too that are just in denial. "you're too young so I do not expect you to understand" - Mate, I'm 16. I know that isn't supremely old, but I'm still classified as an adult. So don't give me any of your "your too young so you instanly know fuck all..."
Your grammer proves that your probably 7 years younger than me, or your just an uneducated fool.
I actually play rugby, unlike you; I'm guessing your just an armchair fan. The fact is New Zealand won, even if they still play "crap" teams, they won legally.
@RobertAdamsonn, listen here you dumb 'skater boy' looking fuck, if you want to insult someone's grammar then you need to ensure your own grammar is perfect, which it is not. This is youtube, take your outdated straightened hair out of your fucking eyes and maybe you'll see it. I do NOT play rugby, but I know enough about it to comment.
Your 'mighty all blacks' comment is proof that you're a dumb piece of shit that believe mainstream media, you haven't learned to think for yourself yet.
@RobertAdamsonn, Read my first comment before this one. Typical of a retarded Brit boy to insult my grammar when you typed 'grammer' then followed it by 'your' instead of 'you're' so whatever school you went to did a fucking shitty job. Maybe you need to play less rugby and work toward getting a haircut then you won't look like a homosexual skater boy. See what I just did? Its easy to bully on the internet, you couldn't prove my point wrong so got fucked over at your own 'insult' game.
@RobertAdamsonn Australia vs southafrica was a 16 vs 15 man game, the ref was completely biast to southafrican, coming from a kiwi supporter and he bryce lawernce is a kiwi ref.
@RobertAdamsonn --- the one were the ref got baned from ever refereeing a SA game and is scared shitless of comming to SA ever again... did you mean that Worldcup?? dumbass!!!
Are all you people retarded to compare an A Australian team to a B (if not C) Springbok one. Yes SA got pumped, but you cant generalize and say the springboks are crap because of how their second and third rate players played. Watch this world cup, de villiers isnt stupid resting his dream team.
@sovietkomrades Are you kidding? Wilkinson, O'Gara, Chabal, Robinson, Tuilagi, Shane Williams... and these are just the big names! Every national team has at some point had some amazing players, assuming that for your 'World XV' we can pick anyone from any time. (Even if we can't, there are plenty of Northerners who could give the Southern Hemisphere a run for it's money!)
habana is world class.... but the best? seriously it has to be lomu, the first true super star of rugby and what about shane williams, or tiquiri before he started thinking he was amazing, and jason robinson, all incredible wingers
@Grayditch - hey man, big fan of all the clips (heinrich's is the best) but dude....you left out so many of his best trys. The one against Aus where he ran from the try line ("They're not gonna catch him! He's the fastest man on the field!") or the two he scored against the Blues in the Super 12 (2 tries in 2 minutes Habana!)
nothing in this video was dominant or indicative of a great player... just looks like a guy who is blessed with really good speed who decided to play rugby
@iReNto Hes not just fast, look at those try saving tackles and that big hit 2:04 , 2:23 , 2:53 hes also has great defence that alot of wingers dont have.
@RUGBYUNlON yep, u see him drop his nuts last year in the tri nations? thats the stupid shit ive ever seen, he was good in 2003 threw to about 2009 but he's shit now and the springboks have much better wingers
@iReNto No he isn't. He debuted in 2004 by the way. Habana is wasted, as are all of our wings. How often do our wings get the ball? Not much at all. It's no coincidence that since de Villiers took over forwards dominate the try stakes, particularly against top sides. Habana has only played for one good backline since 2008, that was the Bulls backline of 2009, where Habana was very good. You are completely wrong on him.
@Blitzbok i see your point, but i dont think he should even make the springbok national team now. With players like Basson and Mvovo, who are in my opinion , much better than habana.
@iReNto Basson had a howler against Australia, so to Lambie! Mvovo just isn't producing either. The best bursts of wing play have all been by Habana. Even Aplon has been invisible at wing. The only option I would have considered a while ago is Mapoe for JP. But JP is a big game player, though lazy at times. But given a real challenge, he's there. So too Habana. We have Rassie et al woking with them in Rustenburg, finally good coaching at hand!
@Blitzbok Yeh btu it was his first game for SA and it was against the 2nd best team in the world, you cant expect them to play well when morne steyn and the forward pack was having a shocker
@iReNto He was on the EOYT and bombed there too. Australia were not that spectacular to be honest with you. They way our forwards were able to rumble through them for brief periods was shocking. Every try was very soft, and the product of very poor systems, de Villiers poor technical acumen again on display. Our best backs were not wings. Morne and Aplon. Then Deysel in the forwards. Basson very poor, Mvovo not much better.
@Blitzbok On the contrary Australia out classed the Springboks in all aspects of the game, it was only when they knew they had won easily that they slacked off and let in those soft tries. Do you really think Morne Steyn played well? He's a world class 10 top 3 easily but when Lamby came on it gave the Springbok backl9ne a spark and they started threatening. Also, before lamby and excluding Aplon Mvovo was easily the most dangerous player for SA if he wasnt marked by JOC he may of been ustoppable
@iReNto You fail to understand, the Boks gave Australia oodles of space, defended very poorly missing many tackles, failed to pitch up in the set pieces. Australia were under no pressure, had to do very little. The Samoa game is the truer reflection of Australia.
@Blitzbok definately not, the only team who can perform under those conditions with big samoans running at them are the all blacks. The reason the springboks gave the Aussies "oodles" of space is because Australia put them on the back foot early and let face it. The springboks arent very good anymore, they're to old and there young talent doesnt even rival that of the two heavywieghts in world rugby. Its been a while since 2007 and that was when the springboks were truely dominant in world rugby
@iReNto Wrong again. the Boks do not have defensive systems in place. They defend loosely from the inside out, vaguely keep a defesive line intact. Their line is mostly jagged, which is easy to run against, particularly when you know their is space on the outside once you penetrate the gainline. Your wstimation of talent is flawed, man for man the Boks are better than Australia. de Villiers is te only issue here. No attacking or defensive systems. Australia are weak.
@samantha65100 not a chance he's world class he's shit, one of the most overated players in the game of modern rugby. he is pure speed, nothing else he doesnt create anything either, dont know what this retard is goin on about
@samantha65100 yeh dickheaur bullshiting, u filthy south african cunts are the definitions of a boston pancake, meathead cunts, thin there so smart cause they shove their heads up other filthy South African cunts arse. cunts should be kicked out of rugby
@samantha65100 shut the fuck up footy mole, stick to being passed round and fucked by the tiny south african penis' in the locker room, after you get flogged in another game. dont talk about rugby bitch, stick to losing it
@samantha65100 ur an idiot, go sit in ur mum's basement playing world of warcraft homo. i hear south africans now fuck pigs,so go fuck one arsewhole cause thats the closest you'll ever get to a pussy u little faggot go suck a dick
@ChiChiFilms mate ashton does not work for any of his tries. ashton scored a few lucky tries and 4 vs the mighty italy, that doesnt make him world class.
@Grayditch But Habana's defence is seriously average, and he never breaks the line. None of the tackles in this video are good. At 2:07 when he saves a try he uses his legs... Should have been a penalty try.
@Grayditch if you ever care to look back at his tries, you'll see the ground he has to cover and the thinking he has to do to predict where he has to break the line, you'd see that he does have to work, MUCH more than habana
@Grayditch Doesn't work for his tries?! he tracks across the whole pitch to be in the right place at the right time, I don't understand how that isn't working for his tries.
@Grayditch not really, he reads the game really well thats how he gets his breaks. ( like habana ) and what about the try against Australia? that was world class.
@Grayditch too right mate, and habana also has a good defence on him the amount of trys hes saved by absolutely pummeling opposition wingers is outstanding
@Grayditch i agree that he isn't yet worthy of being world class coz he has only played like 10 international matches but seriously... you can't say he doesn't work for his tries. the reason he can score 4 tries is because he works so hard to get on the end of things. he may not run 100m every time (though his australian try was like 88m) but the guy is always fishing for tries. a dynamic winger never stuck to the touch line like boring traditional wingers.
@ChiChiFilms Well that's lies. he runs straight through the lions defence and the Australian defence ! But i agree that ashton is better than habana i dont rate him that much compared to some other wingers on the international scene..but he is a world class finisher no denying that.
Finally a tribute that doesn't show only tries, but even great tackles!

Its easy to bully on the internet, you couldn't prove my point wrong so got fucked over at your own 'insult' game.

i still think habana is better as his tremendi\ous speed not onlu helps while attacking, but also at defence. he is a brilliant cover defender.

(Even if we can't, there are plenty of Northerners who could give the Southern Hemisphere a run for it's money!)

roYster213 9 months ago
he isnt that good really, he is only fast and gets on the good end of the stuff his team does, thats a winger s job, a centre s job is alot harder.
drico969 9 months ago
@Grayditch - hey man, big fan of all the clips (heinrich's is the best) but dude....you left out so many of his best trys. The one against Aus where he ran from the try line ("They're not gonna catch him! He's the fastest man on the field!") or the two he scored against the Blues in the Super 12 (2 tries in 2 minutes Habana!)
Otherwise, good show!
AndyGrin0052 9 months ago
nothing in this video was dominant or indicative of a great player... just looks like a guy who is blessed with really good speed who decided to play rugby

@iReNto Your obvisouly from Austrailia.
RUGBYUNlON 7 months ago
@RUGBYUNlON yep, u see him drop his nuts last year in the tri nations? thats the stupid shit ive ever seen, he was good in 2003 threw to about 2009 but he's shit now and the springboks have much better wingers
iReNto 7 months ago
@iReNto No he isn't. He debuted in 2004 by the way. Habana is wasted, as are all of our wings. How often do our wings get the ball? Not much at all. It's no coincidence that since de Villiers took over forwards dominate the try stakes, particularly against top sides. Habana has only played for one good backline since 2008, that was the Bulls backline of 2009, where Habana was very good. You are completely wrong on him.
Blitzbok 7 months ago
@Blitzbok i see your point, but i dont think he should even make the springbok national team now. With players like Basson and Mvovo, who are in my opinion , much better than habana.
iReNto 7 months ago
@iReNto Basson had a howler against Australia, so to Lambie! Mvovo just isn't producing either. The best bursts of wing play have all been by Habana. Even Aplon has been invisible at wing. The only option I would have considered a while ago is Mapoe for JP. But JP is a big game player, though lazy at times. But given a real challenge, he's there. So too Habana. We have Rassie et al woking with them in Rustenburg, finally good coaching at hand!
Blitzbok 7 months ago
@Blitzbok Yeh btu it was his first game for SA and it was against the 2nd best team in the world, you cant expect them to play well when morne steyn and the forward pack was having a shocker
iReNto 7 months ago
@iReNto He was on the EOYT and bombed there too. Australia were not that spectacular to be honest with you. They way our forwards were able to rumble through them for brief periods was shocking. Every try was very soft, and the product of very poor systems, de Villiers poor technical acumen again on display. Our best backs were not wings. Morne and Aplon. Then Deysel in the forwards. Basson very poor, Mvovo not much better.
Blitzbok 7 months ago
@Blitzbok On the contrary Australia out classed the Springboks in all aspects of the game, it was only when they knew they had won easily that they slacked off and let in those soft tries. Do you really think Morne Steyn played well? He's a world class 10 top 3 easily but when Lamby came on it gave the Springbok backl9ne a spark and they started threatening. Also, before lamby and excluding Aplon Mvovo was easily the most dangerous player for SA if he wasnt marked by JOC he may of been ustoppable
iReNto 7 months ago
@iReNto You fail to understand, the Boks gave Australia oodles of space, defended very poorly missing many tackles, failed to pitch up in the set pieces. Australia were under no pressure, had to do very little. The Samoa game is the truer reflection of Australia.
Blitzbok 7 months ago
@Blitzbok definately not, the only team who can perform under those conditions with big samoans running at them are the all blacks. The reason the springboks gave the Aussies "oodles" of space is because Australia put them on the back foot early and let face it. The springboks arent very good anymore, they're to old and there young talent doesnt even rival that of the two heavywieghts in world rugby. Its been a while since 2007 and that was when the springboks were truely dominant in world rugby
iReNto 7 months ago
@iReNto Wrong again. the Boks do not have defensive systems in place. They defend loosely from the inside out, vaguely keep a defesive line intact. Their line is mostly jagged, which is easy to run against, particularly when you know their is space on the outside once you penetrate the gainline. Your wstimation of talent is flawed, man for man the Boks are better than Australia. de Villiers is te only issue here. No attacking or defensive systems. Australia are weak.

however good habana is, idont think that he compares to ashton anymore because of ashton's defence-shredding lines and his kicking ability
ChiChiFilms 10 months ago
@ChiChiFilms lol are you being serious.
Grayditch 10 months ago 39
@Grayditch ye, its true, habana doesnt break the line once in these tries or run a devastating line, its jsut his acceleration
ChiChiFilms 10 months ago 9
@ChiChiFilms mate ashton does not work for any of his tries. ashton scored a few lucky tries and 4 vs the mighty italy, that doesnt make him world class.
Grayditch 10 months ago 28
@Grayditch Ashton is world class, else he wouldn't being playing international rugby. Anyways who gives a shit whose better there both good.
MrRyanification 9 months ago
@Grayditch But Habana's defence is seriously average, and he never breaks the line. None of the tackles in this video are good. At 2:07 when he saves a try he uses his legs... Should have been a penalty try.
Frederickg27 9 months ago
@Grayditch if you ever care to look back at his tries, you'll see the ground he has to cover and the thinking he has to do to predict where he has to break the line, you'd see that he does have to work, MUCH more than habana
ChiChiFilms 9 months ago
@Grayditch Doesn't work for his tries?! he tracks across the whole pitch to be in the right place at the right time, I don't understand how that isn't working for his tries.
roYster213 9 months ago
@Grayditch look at the vast majority of Ashton's tries - he works harder than any winger to get in the right position to support and score.
wrfc0o0 8 months ago
@Grayditch no good lines? ummmm the lions try? noob
steffan1992 7 months ago
@Grayditch Ashton will never be a world class player. What has he really achieved? Nothing.
Blitzbok 7 months ago
@Grayditch - cant be better, cos hes english :L:L:L
davidbrodlie 7 months ago
@Grayditch not really, he reads the game really well thats how he gets his breaks. ( like habana ) and what about the try against Australia? that was world class.
00rouchy00 6 months ago
@00rouchy00 That try was set up by another players break, all Ashton had to do was finish it.
Ashton wouldn't make the Crusaders or Blues starting lineup, us Kiwis don't rate him at all.
taweraster 6 months ago
@Grayditch too right mate, and habana also has a good defence on him the amount of trys hes saved by absolutely pummeling opposition wingers is outstanding
MrDj3396 6 months ago
@Grayditch i agree with grayd....ashton has a better rugby brain...league experience etc.... habana is just gas
dislecksick 6 months ago
@Grayditch i agree that he isn't yet worthy of being world class coz he has only played like 10 international matches but seriously... you can't say he doesn't work for his tries. the reason he can score 4 tries is because he works so hard to get on the end of things. he may not run 100m every time (though his australian try was like 88m) but the guy is always fishing for tries. a dynamic winger never stuck to the touch line like boring traditional wingers.
Rivalhopeso 6 months ago
@ChiChiFilms Well that's lies. he runs straight through the lions defence and the Australian defence ! But i agree that ashton is better than habana i dont rate him that much compared to some other wingers on the international scene..but he is a world class finisher no denying that.
