Yeah check it out! It came out I believe (umm, still :-)) in 1987. The record is eponymous, so just Russ Taff/Russ Taff :)

I Still Believe was co-written by Michael Been and Jon Goodwin of The Call for their 1986 album Reconciled. It was covered by Russ Taff on his eponymous debut album in 1987. Not that it matters, but I liked them both.

Thanks wiskerdad. We sort of got off topic discussing Taff's cover. That is my favorite Russ taff album - so real and raw. But Been and Goodwin wrote an AMAZING song here - i listen to it pretty much every day. (It plays on one of my Sims games :-) I have just declared my geekdom :-)) I like both versions too - you can tell they are both being lived, not just sung, if that makes sense.

I saw them in Pittsburgh at a nightclub called THE METROPOL. I think 1987? Great concert. It was a tour for their "Let the day begin" album. They are amazing, I even caught (and still have) a drum stick thrown out to the crowd. I was standing directly in front of Michael as he worked the bass with his magic. So kool.
