Not really sure who's the more anal here...me or thee. I started looping them so there was some scope to knot a string together if one broke and there wasn't a spare around. Always a bummer if you were REALLY getting into it. Since I discovered Elixir strings, breakages are not really a problem as they seem indestructible, but I still like to see the pretty loops in perfect circles, perfectly aligned on the headstocks of all my guitars. I hate it when people can't be bothered to tidy up the machine head area. Loose strings are very distracting!!! Cut them off or loop them. Personally I prefer the looping method 'coz if you bust one and don't have a spare, you can use the excess to tie a knot in it as they usually break behind the nut. Obvious Hint #1. xxx

Not really sure who's the more anal here...me or thee. I started looping them so there was some scope to knot a string together if one broke and there wasn't a spare around. Always a bummer if you were REALLY getting into it. Since I discovered Elixir strings, breakages are not really a problem as they seem indestructible, but I still like to see the pretty loops in perfect circles, perfectly aligned on the headstocks of all my guitars. I think I win the anal-ness as it happens !!!! Thumbs up?
