@robonez So glad you're enjoying it. Possibly if "I'M DICKENS, HE'S FENSTER" sells enough, Mr. Stern might be interested in releasing this one on DVD as well.
It really cracks me up when people want old shows on DVD's. How's about TV Land go back to its roots and SHOW SOME OF THESE OLD CLASSICS. All they show these days is marathons of the same damn stuff which we've seen time and time again.
I read about this in a film magazine, in a jokey little side column suggesting remakes for old TV shows that haven't been done yet. It seems it's a show some people still mention because it has such a ridiculous premise.
@grizzwaldo I hope not. But the fact is that they were highly entertaining shows that were not intended to be anything more than fun. Just like "HOLMES & YO-YO".
@tyrese3745 ABC did not own this programme. It was a Heyday Production distributed by Universal Studios. The beloved and sainted Leonard Stern was the creator and executive producer. I cannot say enough nice things about that man as he was also the creator of Mad Libs!
@chuckcollins I know that!! The idea, in my opinion, should have been pitched to Aaron Spelling & Leonard Goldberg. It didn't look or feel like a Universal TV production. But hey, that's just my opinion.
@tyrese3745 Considering how lousy the track record has been for straight comedy and straight drama robot shows, you may be right. If "MY LIVING DOLL" or "FUTURE COP" couldn't succeed, what could?
Perhaps a light fluffy comedy-drama without the slapstick but featuring beautiful robot girl detectives instead would have worked.
@Dahgrostabphri i never meet anybody either that remember this show, i been tryin to find the name of the tv show for about 10 years,i was lookin at the movie splash today and realized the same guy who played in splash as the doctor was the same guy who played in charms and yo yo ten i went to IMDB and found his name
I've been looking everywhere for this. I'd love to have the whole series, but REALLY appreciate seeing even one episode! I'm just glad it had such a screwball title or we probably wouldn't remember what it was called.
Finally proof this show existed.....people think I'm making it up!....
Please please please post up whatever you have.....I thought the opening sequence had yoyo flicking through a phone book and being able to read it all that quickly.....did this ever feature???
Yes! I remember the scene with Yoyo flipping thru the phone book and memorizing all the numbers. I loved this show as a 5 year old. Brings back memories.
Does anyone remember another show that would have aired around the same time about a man that could breathe in the water (he looked human but I think he had gills)? It was more of a drama.
The police captain at the beginning sounds like a character out of Family Guy.

Cocaine and LSD shouldn't be used in development of a television program.

I used to watch this show back in the day!
I thought it would be weird and lame watching it now, but I'm enjoying the hell out of it and laughing my ass off!!! \m/

I remember this episode, esp. Yoyo saying "The Bunko Squad". By the way, I love a woman in uniform!

@chuckcollins I owned an annual for this series, and no-one had heard of it or believed me it existed
grizzwaldo 1 year ago
@grizzwaldo It was on for such a short time and it seems like the only people who watched it were between the ages of 2 and 12.
Perhaps they should do a remake for Nickelodeon. It could be a spin-off called "I-COPS".

@chuckcollins Maybe we could start a petition? I'll catch you later mate, keep it real

thanks for the posting ! I watched the show when i was a small boy , in 1979 i believe when it was on syndication in France.
each episode was broadcast weekly and i didn't want to miss one .
Suddenly one week the show was gone , i learned later on that the show had been shortlived and was back to 1976
Holmes and Yoyo was very popular among kids .
I read somewhere that Richard B Shull died few years ago.
i remember an episode with the scene of the two detectives stucked in a bank vault
arnauda1971 1 year ago
@arnauda1971 I would imagine it was better-received in France than it was in the US.

ABC should've sold this series to Spelling-Goldberg Productions. That company produced many hit shows on the network in the mid-late 70s.

@kimosaaaabe This show is too crazy to be forgotten, no matter how much Tom Shales might think it is in today's Washington Post TV column.
