There are 2 Versiosns of Special Edition for the 2010, this one and the Green with White lines.

In my op, go for new from a dealer. the Servicing, maintenece, check ups etc are all worth it. plus the Warrenty and all that.....

If you drop your bike, in general (specially for new riders who dont go so fast) the Damaged is VERY minimal, these bikes are tough!

and when a Damage is alot, and needs Repalcement parts.. then with a new bike your paying to replace wen parts to a new bike that your the only one who used it.., and with a used bike - your paying to fix up a second bike that may have been misused, and not treated like you baby... (new parts to an old bike)

BUT, there is the other side of the Coin... If you can get one used in good condition, and its half the price of the new one, and your only using it to learn On for 3 months then move up, then what the hell...... ;)

Nice bike. I personally like the colors except for the white designs on the side. My first mods would be lower clip-ons for a more aggressive position, and to chop off that fender. Then i would think about an exhaust. It's kinda pointless on a 250 to spend a lot of money on an exhaust, but i think you can make your own with some fiber glass insulation.

@ThaiNinjaRR Well all you do is make a bunch of noise, hardly any performance gain. With the right tools, you can mod your current exhaust to sound good. Then all you gotta do is swap some jets if it has a carb like the US version. It's a bit more involved with the fuel injected ones.

@heartlesspinto you should check out DBS exhausts. tuned right it make 15% improvement on HP. mixed up with the right kit and airfilters. and not to mention this new Sprocket that i am now the official distubutor of.. (never gets hot and 3% hp improvement.,.,)

add all these and more together, you gonna sort your bike good.

@ThaiNinjaRR I checked out your other vids and saw you're a bit more mechanically inclined than i gave you credit for. Definitely with all that you said you can get some quite noticeable improvements. Then after the hp gain you get from all of that, moving one down on the rear sprocket really makes this thing more enjoyable on the motorways. No more annoying high rpm buzzing around 100+ kph. I don't have a 250r, but i know my friend's doesn't sound comfortable at higher speeds.

well, i am 100kg and 180cm tall. i think thats like 220lbs / 5'8.... i am fine.

My friend is like 6'9, he says can ride it fine..

But its seriously depends on your feeleings while on the bike, are you comfatble etc.. go to the dealer and have a test ride...make sure you dont feel awkward...you should be fine ;)

i know that the 250 that go abroad are carb, but here in thailand where they are made, they are Fuel Injection.

if you wuold like i will show you. its simple to show, Carbs have Gas Meter, and FI have Fi heat meter.
