Good evening to all, but the interpretive power that music belongs to Belgian singer Jacques Brel translated from the French text "Ne me quitte pas" in 1959
The version I remember on my Neil Diamond album years ago did not sound anything like this one. Here the music is to the forefront and the vocals sound like he is about 10 ft. from the microphone in a echoing hallway. Can't say the quality is that good on this submission.
I like Neil Diamond very much but i think that he does not do much justice to this song . For me ,the best version of this song would be the Britain's Mark Almond. His version is the best ! He sings this song with a real depth !
