  • I'm surprised that on Last.Fm this is the least listened to song practically.

    It's my favorite by far.

  • beginning of the song sounds like Geoff Tate singing

  • I Love this song.

  • LOL an indie prog metal band I have listened to had referenced to the intro of this song in one of their songs!

Apparently the musician has a good taste in music :D

  • His voice reminds me a bit of TNT. 1 minute out in the song.

  • This is not power metal. It is prog with a good ol' traditional feel.

  • Oh God! this is like sacred sound for my ears, good song, the sound of this band is really good!

  • I love this band alot for 26 years i've been a Queensryche fan! Finally there's another band i can love!

  • :,(

  • todays european power metal is not the "man-o-war" of old...the genres can't be define entirely by lyrics alone. especially lately. if you haven't noticed, progressive and power have been melded by many bands in the last five years in particular. circus maximus has elements of both in their sound for sure--though if i had to pick between one i would go with progressive over power. in any case, they are the best new band i have heard in a decade.

  • I am sooo sad that not many people know about this band :( come on.. who wouldn't like this song (at least)?!

And, anyway, LIKE BUTTON is way too simple for describing the way I feel when I listen to it :X

  • wtf are u ppl talking about this is one badass progressive shit it has nothing to do with power metal. power metal lyrics are about dragons and knights and it sounds different than this ...

  • @Cwoka94

    Amen to that

  • @Cwoka94 while I agree this stuff is epic, I don't agree that lyrics define the genre. I personally think it's all about the music.

  • @drumboarder1 i didn't even say that but in this case for ppl who don't know the difference between progressive and power metal, and there are plenty of 'em here, can recognize them by looking at lyrics

  • @Cwoka94 I can see what you're getting at but progressive metal can't really be thrown into that equation as it's entirely defined by the music using odd time signatures, new concepts, constantly changing themes etc

  • @Cwoka94 Not all power metal bands sing about dragons you fucking douchebag.

  • @foottothenuts oh i'm sorry if i hurt you feelings about power metal bands but yes of course there are bands that stand out of my description but thank the god this one isn't one of them

  • it's power/progressive metal--there are elements of both. but whatever you call it, it is outstanding. this is the best new music and band i have heard in a decade. and this song is beauty unsurpassed. nearly lost it at the 1:55 mark.

  • 1:16 jizz everywhere

    2:21 jizz everywhere... again

3:15 Holy shit my nuts just shot out through my dick

3:37 I got nothing left... I'm a husk - the entire contents of my body have been jizzed by this point

  • lol

  • jajaja y yo pensando que no había nadie mejor que Roy Khan!!! Vamos este chico es muy bueno claro que podrá con el papel sustituyendo a Khan, no digo que uno sea mejo que el otro, sino que ambos son buenísimos.

  • 1."So levely was the loneliness" i think it should be "so lonely was the loneliness"

2."Thinking will he ever get his bride?" i think it should be "thinking will he ever, ever get his bride?"

other than that youve done a great job with the lyrics. and thanks for uploading this song. truly a masterpiece

  • i think i found a new favorite band now

  • just bough this ablum last week its a awsome band incredible vocal....

  • I hope everyone is aware, because I haven't found any info online, that these are lyrics from edgar allen poe's alone poem

  • I didn't know that - thx.

  • No they're not. Edgar Allen Poe stole them from Circus Maximus. Blatant plagiarism. He should've been put in prison, bloody Edgar. What the hell sort of name is Edgar anyway? He should go to jail just for his name.

  • @rockstarsupernate - Only the title is from Poe's poem, but the song is obviously inspired by it - it's beautiful

  • @rockstarsupernate Just found out that one of the line is actually from the poem "The Lake"

  • What a band my goodness!!!

So powerful and rhytmic, and the voice surpasses everything heard before for my ears!!! God bless power metal...yeahhh.

  • @vonmercury

this is not power metal, its progressive

  • @Dilligafnz They are one in the same as far as I am concerned. I just call it damn good ear candy!

  • @Dilligafnz en mas amigo es progressive power metal!!!

  • Than you must have never heard of Symphony X sure as hell been around longer than this band name stealing band there was a band in the USA back in the 60's named circus maximus.

  • @master2873 Band names cannot be licensed as copyrights so who cares if they share the same name.

  • Yeah but in the music industry normally stuff like this wouldn't happen so bands won't get mixed up after all the songs are copyrighted (not the names) people could get the bands highly confused after all they have the same band names and using another bands name just shows how unoriginal the music is these years. shit back in the 70's no one was sampling each others music or taking other band names those are true artist.

  • And the day you join a band or even start to form one that using another bands name is just a huge no-no it's been that way for years till late 90's and early millennium still to this day there is very few bands that have Originality. Also pretty funny you're wrong about band name Licensing

Band names are protectable under trademark law, because like "brand names" they allow us to distinguish one band's music and identity from another.

  • You should really read up on something before you start to spout about something you have no idea what you're talking about you're just the average youtuber that feels the need to blow things out of proportion when their band or music is offended and check that link out it's from a law office.

  • @master2873 Having taken two years of university level classes in Music Industry, I -DO- know what I am talking about. Glad to know I offended you to the point of posting 3 times to justify yourself.

Circus Maximus are from NORWAY, which does not fall under the jurisdiction of US federal trademark law.

You are the one that needs to do some research.

  • Well If I'm not mistaken how would it not be under the US jurisdiction? They ship their CD's for sale in the US. Wouldn't a band as such that would be shipping their CD's world wide wouldn't that be considered a International trademark? Well i just read and it said no you cant make one lol I was only merely stating that copyright and trademarks are a little different and I'm glad to have met someone else who has Brains haha I forgot to look that part up lol
