Fortunately there is still possible to make it relatively big in Norway, even if you don't have the pre-defined "commercially correct look". He participated in our national "Idol" competition a few years ago, and even went on to win the "World Idol". He comes across as a down to earth, likable and ordinary guy - and is much liked in Norway.

Guys like him gives me hope that there will be a time (again) when all the cloned acts coming out are gone, and true talent will be the what defines you.

I don't think this song does justice to Kurt's voice. I don't hate it, but I have to agree with those who think his real talent is for country music. He has one of the best voices I've ever heard for country - just listen to his Lost Highway with Willie Nelson. Anyone with even a half decent voice can sing pop, but to sing good country takes a real voice and that's what Kurt has.
