  • Mick holds that mic like its a cock.

  • This was a GREAT tour the 75/76 got some great bootlegs from this tour!!

  • Awesome 10 stars, jagger sounds great, great guitars, the greatest rock band ever!

  • Keith's opening riff says it all...the 75 tour is fantastic and true stones fans appreciate the greatness of this so called sloppy tour. Also, the introduction of the way ahead of it's time Lotus Stage was amazing.

  • Seems Charlie is the only one who had his shit together during this tour. His drumming is great, (as always). Too bad that cant be said about the rest of the band. Jagger sounds horrible, inaudible.

  • @lBStrokin yeah i read that jagger listen back after this tour and wasnt happy..

  • It's easy to see why they wanted Taylor out of the band: He was better than Keith.

  • @HealthRecordsGroup disagree once TAYLOR could doing nothing out of the band and KR solo working is amazing and TAYLOR never was a STONE(d) and so that because he was fired. Well i could call ROLLING STONES like KR solo working at least

  • Think the cameraman and editor are gay?? They stuck on 'ol rubber lips Jagger like punks on a peehnuss!! I swear there are a few other contributors onstage. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Is this a dvd? Available?

  • I guess you all don't remember Jagger trying to french kiss Ronnie Wood on SNL in 1978? Ronnie's a good guitarist but I miss Brian.

  • Mick Jagger is the best performer ever. Michael Jackson was good but he couldnt keep you enthralled like Mick can

  • Keith is such a bad ass....king of riffs.

  • I THINK THE ROLLING STONES DO, AND HAVE ALWAYS DONE, ROCK & ROLL, TO A T

  • Best Front Man Dead or Alive! The mate can still write 50 years later. When anyone is a master at what they do, insecure people put them down.

    THANKS FOR POSTING!

  • I have the bootleg DVD of this show, and I love it - it's really entertaining. But the difference in Keith from the 72 shows is pretty startling. In 72, the drugs were still really working for him. You can see the rough side of it on this tour, and in this show. Mick is carrying so much of the weight here, you have to admire him for it. Just watch Happy from this show and compare it to 72. Keith can barely find the mic to sing in 75. But it's still cool somehow, and that's the Stones..

  • i want to join the pole shift survival group or start the new one.

let me know whoever is interested.

  • Charlie and Bill's groove!

  • Great song!

  • Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, Mick Jagger is the King of Rock, Period

  • @davestheman4janice what a joke M.J> the king of pop????...how bout paul macartney?? m.j. the king of schlock! Elvis is the king...jagger is the prince.....Justin Bieber is the newt of rock

  • looooooooooool...

is that jingle bells at the end??

  • "If You Can't Snort your Coke, Somebody Will"

  • keith guitar!!!!

  • Too Much Coke

  • RIP - Billy Preston loved by all that I have read of the Stones and Beatles among so many others, Billy's philosophy you take the spot light just let me play and they all did, read and see the little ideas Mr. Preston gave freely and the little licks that were not on the sheets had the boys in delight that they had a real piano man with ideas on the keys - yeah we have it all to remember and pass on

  • @persevere4: I like Billy, but to say "they had a real piano man with ideas" is being ignorant of their history. Are you saying Nicky Hopkins wasn't a "real piano man with ideas"? Ever heard Sympathy For The Devil, or the intro to Monkey Man? How about Nicky on We Love You? And Ian Stewart was friggin' great too. What's the matter with you? Billy was a footnote in Stones history. The two players I mentioned were the Stones' real piano players.

  • @tomthefunky - Read and educate yourself before making an ass of yourself, my citing of Preston's contributions does not denigrate others and was only in regards to him chill out and read why these groups wanted him on the keys, the contributions are to numerous to mention and your would not grasp them anyway - CHILL

  • Billy Preston,,, Mary had a little lamb !

  • In 1000 years when they want to know what rock and roll was all about brother, they should listen to the Rolling Stones.

  • what is mick singing at 2:50? whatever it is,its enough to back keith the fuck up!

  • @jcoolparker i love that part also. i just think they are on very different drugs, mick all amped up and keith a bunch more sedated...keith is like, "come mick you're harshing my buzz man"

  • the coolest guys on the planet.

  • Not sure about mick, but the band sounds good, plenty of energy :D

  • I don't think Ronnie was a full band member at this point.

  • give me the rest...into cloud....where is it?

  • lol ah the 75 tour... when the drugs started to affect the band. Keith was a mess during the LA shows he was up for all 5 shows with no sleep.

  • @crackernumber2 .....you don't think that drugs were affecting them in 1969?....Mick could barely speak half the time.

  • @AvirtualSwitzerland The who rock n roll seen was all spaced out - back in 69- ( it was allways a height of bad manners to be too stoned!!! or on a od--

  • love this, peak time,i hate seeing my band on stage these days, its not nice, mick cant jump anymore, best look at the glory days here

  • aint ever going to be another stones!

  • Love this song and video-thanks for the upload! If you can't rock me....

  • Charlie at his best!!

  • yeah, they sound fat! mick is too much. charlie is rockin!

  • Man I love Deep Purple these Rolling Stones got poor musicianship they're the greatest garage band in the world

  • @sciuto01 what the fuck do you know about musicanship?? This is an old recording of a song 35 years ago. trust me there good live.

  • yeah real stones fan love all 4 periods: Brian, Taylor, Ronnie and Darryl Jones. Of course Mick Taylor was awesome, but the stones guitar sound is more unified with ronnie....of course, having the same drummer for 48 years isn't so bad.

THE STONES WILL BE THE FIRST ROCK BAND TO MOUNT A 50TH ANNIVERSARY tour

  • @daddysevenpointfiver

Re:'but the stones guitar sound is more unified with ronnie'

If you mean they bothsound the same, I agree. I think they went downhill after Mick taylor left. 'Guitar weaving' my arse. They never ever hit the same heights again after Taylor left.

  • i don't think there will be a stones clip that i like more than this one! really any performance from this tour / show ('75) is highly entertaining. may not be the cleanest of performances but great seeing mick just get after it, influenced by drugs or not, just spectacular!!

  • Mick's singing really stinks in this era, he's miles better now

  • Too much running around from Jagger.

Stage is too big, he thinks he has to fill it and his vocals suffered.

He also had a potato in his mouth when singing live from 1975 onwards - allegedly.

And I think they were getting bored, Mick was anyway.

  • @GravityBoy72 LOL!! what do you mean by "a potato in his mouth"?!?!LOL!!!!

  • I was at the Chicago concert 1975. I remember this giant phallic balloon emerged from the stage and Jagger rode around on it. I was scandalous at the time.

  • Ronnie's playing is great on this, hope he sorts himself out a brings energy back into the band as he did after Mick T left (that's not a dig at Mick T who is a brilliant player but Ronnie added fun and a cheeky wink to the Rolling Stones Mach 3).

  • The bass guitar is layin in there real nice on this one

  • and what about that killer 16th note hi-hat pattern Charlie's laying down during the break? If Mick can't rock you, Charlie sure will.

  • billy preston playing ring a ring o roses at the end

  • I LOVE MICK IN THE 70s !! But I love him always ;)

  • Charlie Watts drumming in this video is fantastic!

  • i rolling stones saranno la colonna sonora della mia vita....

  • bellissima il suono della gretch di charlie watts!!!

  • That bass rattled my ballsack. Go Bill Go!

  • Not long ago I needed a back tooth pulled. My dentist sent me to another saying, "pulling back teeth is a young man's job." I guess Rock and Roll is a young man's job. Watching Jagger here you see why he was the FUCKING MAN. Watching Jagger nowadays and you feel, well, embarrassed.

  • yeah, love mick. But nowadays he appears to be afraid of showing that age naturally slows people down, and he's so spiteful against that fact, that he acts even more extreme, but differently...and it comes across as a bit forced. As opposed to when he used to just jive with the tone of a particular song. But god bless him for sticking with something he loves, and they do still but on a great show.

  • Wow.mikeeowee! Obviously the new shipment just arrived! A unique take on a great performance!

  • this version is as much fun as jumping on a trampoline naked with all the monkeys of your perversions, with mashed potatoes and gravy for all, amen

  • I wish Bill was still in the band, great player.

  • Bill rocks!

  • holy hell!! what energy on this one, that's got to be close to end for micktaylor

  • Charlie is shit hot on the drums here. Nice!

  • imo this year and up till 81 was the stones at their most sonic.. this was a year before punk rock hit...but this is punk rock..Taylor was boring and introspective..the stones were tired of Jones and his histrionics they just wanted some dude playin licks and chops..no image required..woody was like keiths little brother...re-lit the fuse...

and i have to agree wid Bluespeyer the band fizzled out around 81-82..but what a legacy they've left....

  • Excellent observation, creationrockers. Ron Wood just wanted to play. He actually did three full tours in 1975, probably played onstage almost every night that year.

I don't think Taylor was boring, and he was GREAT in the studio, but Jagger really liked having Wood on stage, especially in 75 and 76. I think he'd worn out his welcome with Jagger by 81.

  • Indeed good observation....you think they should've knocked it on the head after '81 ? Think so ,...especialy after Jaggers'

horendous solo cd's,it hurts to see him throwing their brilliant legacy to the dogs.

Although they still atract millions, that's no guarantee for brilliance.

Sir Jogger should concentrate on making workout videos.

Jumpin' JackAss desparately wants to rub it in our faces what a fit

    suck sess he is.

  • stones are my favourite band mate... but you cant talk about early punk without mentioning the stooges!! still, the stones are still the greatest rock n roll band :D

  • so insighfull into the band there. Keith was killing himself with drugs and there music was stagnet, ronnie wood was like a fresh tank of gas. People need to respect ronnie wood and his contrabutions to this band, ronnie wood saved the stones, that and his wonderfull solo albums will be his legacy.

  • @crackernumber2 well said. Ronnie is a mulit-instrumentalist. Charlie said in an interview he can pick up anything learn it, and play. Plus he certainly was the glue that held the Stones together thru the disasterous 80's. If he can stay sober, they will tour next year.

  • @Phunkville i love his energy on this tour................ they would have stopped long ago. Ronnie injected much needed fun into the stones. Mick taylor was good, but who knows if the records would have been better if he stayed?? Think about it he would have been dead long ago were ronnie can survive as a stone.

  • @crackernumber2 agreed

  • damn charlie got down on the drums huh

  • are you kidding ele523? Watts and Wyman combine for one of the best rhythm sections in rock history. They're amazing!

  • no i know lol i meant like he got doen like he was amazing srry for the misunderstanding i love the rolling stoned there my fav band i would never talk crap abt them

  • thats sweet how keith richards directs the band with his body like that..

  • The live licks version (Madison Square Garden/2003) is much beter !

  • i see kids playing guitar, so it must not be all that difficult. it aint nuclear physics.

  • i personally liked the raw sound that was present during the taylor years myself. in my opinion taylor sounds meatier and has a heavier sound than ronnie, which is better in my opinion. now instead of taylor's fills they have a ten piece orchestra! wheres the rock n roll?

  • the debate of who is the best guitarist will never end. taylor was probably technically the most fluent but he wasn't the best cos the stones based their sound on weaving guitars and when he was in the band he was defined as lead and keef strictly ryhthym. i hated that although some of my fav songs came from this era. ronnie n keef have such a great chemistry, i really enjoy hearing it and no tknowing who is playing what. all those riffs keef played in open g is what made them big in 70's

  • ....... somebody will!!

  • I grow tired of the constant Taylor fan putting down Wood. Sure he isn't a virtuoso, but he's who the Stones picked, and he brought a lot to their work (can you imagine Far Away Eyes without his steel guitar?) Sure he isn't a wizard on the guitar like Taylor, but he's very accomplished and I think has done many good things for the band. But I guess thats just me.

  • Nice one mate! I also feel that Mick Taylor's work was the best Stones period for me,but I'm in agreement with you about Ronnie. He is a great player nonetheless (Check him out with the Faces... Amazing!). Also, if you watch the interview section on the Shine A Light Dvd he says that he & Eric Clapton had a conversation back in the day where Eric said "Y'know Ronnie, I could've had your job.." and Ronnie responds with "Yeah, I know. But you've gotta live with 'em mate." It speaks volumes...

  • Woody was really, really good from '75-'81, and the band didn't suffer from Taylor's departure during those years. But these days, Woody simply can't play anymore, and what used to be the greatest rock n roll band of all time has become a pathetic shell of itself.

  • They have had their moments since '81. They are still a great show too. When was the last time Chuck berry or the Who hit The charts but they are still fun too see. Same with The Eagles. Great songs never die they just make you happy and what's wrong with that?

  • None of the Stones' guitarists are particularly great, but together they are the best.

  • one of my favourite song

  • Yeah, Ronnie is better than Taylor!!!

  • get the fuck outta here! taylor fucks wood up.

  • greatest band of all time. oh ya, and rap sucks!

  • Great tune, great riff, great Keith Richards

  • smokin stones as always.

  • if ron wood sucked he wouldn't still be a Stone. Yes the taylor years was good but the sound of music changed as time went on. Love ronnie and the stones

  • sound is so good that's it's Bad

  • Another gem from the greatest band of all time...the transition into "Get Off My Cloud" (not here)is wicked...

  • well it is I got one heart but I like your way better lol

  • I thought it was "I got one hard and it hurts like hell".Get it, He He.

  • Great Ronnie solo - wish he would do / could do - that more often !!

  • Love the clear crisp sound of this clip.

"I got one heart & it hurts like hell. I certainly would love to take you back to my hotel."

  • The band sound great, much better than 12 months later when they toured the UK and sounded jaded.

Mick sounds terrible, silly unarticulated lazy punk vocals.

He never bothered singing after 1973.

    Sad.

    Sing properly Mick you git.

  • I always thought Mick sounded drunk and coked out during this period.

  • ronnie's solo is completely mind blowing! i love it! *orgasms*

  • I still think Taylor was much better than Woddy but he does a pretty good job here mostly because he's coming fresh from the Faces. Woody has gotten extremely lazy these last 10 years or so and you can hardly tell he's there. He used to like showing off a bit and played lead over the top of Keith sometimes which I thought sounded a bit crappy. The Stones best era was during the Taylor years. They still rock better than anyone though.

  • very true - this is as good as wood would ever sound with the stones, taylor had him beat on every level. they haven't sounded right live since taylor's last gigs with them in '73...

  • If Woody played like this today I could tolerate it but he just seems indifferent or somehow lost his confidence. I've seen them every tour since 75 and Wood's playing has gradually gone downhill. I know he's not really what I would consider a lead player but hew could at least add some balls to his playing like he did when he was with the Faces. Oh well, they're still the Stones and at least we have that.

  • sure - i saw him with the faces, and then with bo diddley in '87. the guy has feel when he puts himself into it...like yourself, i wish those times happened more often. his 1st solo LP might be my favorite work of his, post Jeff Beck Group.

  • Woody Played Well Here Because he wanted the Job. Pity he got lazy once he got it. Pity coz i love the Faces & some of his solo work, But with Keith he is more into posing. I to miss the Halcyon Days of Europe '73 although the Remastered Bootlegs help a Lot!!

  • it does seem like he was giving it less energy as time went on, doesn't it? i liked those eras for him too - 1st solo LP was a good record. for the stones, i am a taylor-era man all the way - not that i actively dislike woody or keith. i just though, that was their era...actually from just before taylor arrived (BB) - and i thought goat's head soup (a few good songs, like hide your love) and it's only rock & roll (less good songs than goat's head soup even, for me) marked their slide...

  • I actually Love Goats Head Soup & It's only R & R. Time Waits for no one, Fingerprint File, Luxury, Dance little sister-even Short & curlies. Crank it up and have another listen. Same with the soup album, if you don't already have them try & find the remastered versions. Many incidental melodies were hidden during the vinyl days. 100 years ago, Coming down again, Hide your love & winter are fantastic with a bit of volume.

  • oh sure, been listening them both before they were even formally released...and the remasters do kick some life into "hide your love", "dancing with mr. d", and a few other tracks from that era. i guess i got a preference going for "exile..." and "sticky fingers", "...ya ya's out", etc.

  • I am Taking all the Taylor Years Stuff to my grave. So i can rock to eternity. Exile & Sticky are the deal yes, i just believe those last 2 Albums are much better than they are usually credited with. Winter By the way was a Jagger/Taylor Song Keith wasn't there at all. He should have given him his writing credit.!!!!

  • "winter" was yet another taylor writing credit gone south?? it's a testament to taylor's class as a human being that he didn't raise hell about that in the press (he's a better man than i).

  • yeah, but Taylor had to sue them in '81 when they used songs with his playing for Tattoo You. The guy's been broke for a long time since he left the fold. But if he had stayed, he probably would have ended up another casualty of drug excess. Poor guy. Liked his '79 solo record but there was no market for it.

  • This is G R E A T ! What a kicking version is this one. The first tour with Woody (borowed from the Faces, not official Stone YET), and he's doing the solo! I read somewhere that the Stones considered one of their concerts during this tour as their BEST performance EVER. This is really good and what a fresh spirit did Woody bring in brilliant, thanks a lot.

  • One of my fav. Stones songs-can you dig it? Thanks for posting it-"If you can't rock me, somebody will..." how true Mick Jagger!

  • excellent night 4 the band

  • grooyy

  • the bass in this song is fucking wicked.

  • stones rule period!

  • wtf is mick saying???

  • got one hard and it hurts like hell

i aint looking for no hooker working the street

    etc etc etc

it doesnt matter... this is STONES

  • This version kick´s some serious ass. Charlie and Ollie are WILD man...

  • fantastic

  • that's hot!

  • Jagger hauling ass again!

  • best front man ever wont you say?

  • @ele523 Maybe, but I'm not sure how much better, if he is better, than say Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin or Ian Gillan of Deep Purple.

  • @ele523 stones are the kings my son

  • @TumblingDice1972 they are more than kings they are Gods imortals forever and ever

  • @ele523 best WHITE frontman anyway =)

  • @bustedup i say best frontman period :D

  • @bustedup Which non-white frontman did you have in mind that could possibly compete with Mick? I can't think of any.

  • @JeffGR4

    Prince?

    Don't get me wrong..

    I love the Stones!

  • @mnaicck You're right ! Prince of course.

  • @ele523 without a doubt

  • @ele523 David Lee Roth.

  • @ele523 ..and best band ever... No one rocks like the Stones, when they rockin like this..".it hurts like hell!" Fav part is 1:57 into song
