@blessedmommy73. Yes it was benign. It went undiagnosed for so long, that the tumor spread into areas of Shane's spine that were inoperable. To find out about volunteering google The Twilight Brigade, Compassion in Action.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like to have a life threatening disease. Your son's job was to teach people to live strong in the face of danger. I'm sure his zest for life has inspired many around the world. R.I.P.
As a retired soldier, I do volunteer work at my local VAMC. In addition to working with paralyzed vets, I also meet with veterans in the Hospice Ward.

@000Winter000 It was always an operater on the other end of the line telling my mother to hold on for a call and it was happening to her husband and his mom and dad...It was connecting my mom and sister's husband or him and his parents....It stopped after about a month....Funny thing too. About a year ago I seen my sis and her huband sitting at a table talking. In a dream that I was having...They can't let go yet and it's been 20 yrs.....
im a muslim and we know that this life is step to another life so we did not care of this life because we know we will die in the end the god want to love him and obey and worship him and defeat the devil when we do that we will go to paradise but Unfortunately, the humanity kind declared the war against god by the sex drugs wine Satanism nudism for that the god defeated us by the Disease Natural disasters so we pray for god to forgive us
When my sister died from being shot by a man who was fighting with another man on the street after a parade... She tried to reach out by calling my mother and her husband...calls were made to her in-laws also...It was very strange...But we know it was her... Soul hangs on until ................
This may sound like a stupid question...but, what is Shane dying of? And has be passed away yet? I am not sure how I can across this video, but it seems very heartfelt.
Thanks for your note. Shane had a benign tumor that went undiagnosed, spread to his spine and became inoperable. Our intention in making this film (full length is on AMAZON)was to inspire others to look at their relationship with death and dying and to inspire others to volunteer in whatever capacity.
@vardah a benign tumor? I'm a nurse, and benign tumors are the non-cancerous ones...did you maybe mean malignant tumor? I'm just wondering if maybe benign tumors can also lead to death in certain areas ...where are you located? I would LOVE to volunteer.
tell his mother that i am very sorry and she will be okay. my grandpa and my cousin [more like my brother] died all in the same month. now my other great grandfather is ready to pass away.
You can buy the full length version (52 minutes) of this documentary on the VISITINGSHANE website and you can also find it on AMAZON. Please share this film with others!
Touching video, thanks for uploading it, in memory of your friend. May he rest in peace.
