  • Mr. Yager does a lovely job with this tough monologue. Congratulations, I like your interpretation.

To the person who made a comment that he shouldn't do a monologue from a monologue book-- that absolutely inaccurate. I've written 9 books of best selling original monologues that are powerful audition pieces made specifically for actors at auditions. They are popular because they work!

  • hey! would u happen to have a copy of this monologue? I really like it.. if u do plz send it to me i will owe u big time.. waaqas111@live.com

    thanks man!

  • I caution you not to start the monolgue at the end. You need a journey. You can't start as upset as you finish. Do you know who your talking to? Do you see them in your head? What is really interesting to an audience is seeing someone hold back emotion, not emote. We don't want to see you yell for two minutes, we want to see you struggle to hold it in. Just some helpful reminders. Wonderful choice of monologue

  • hey guys i just posted up my first video. please watch and feel free to comment. sorry if the audio isnt too great btw. thanks!

  • I liked this bt you have to slow down a bit and be a little bit more believeable but you did a great job you have A LOT OF potential

  • cool man---it's hard to do this. i just did my first one. check it out and let me know what you think. and please be hinest that is the only way i will improve

  • it seems like you are focusing too much on making the words sound dramatic and not enough on developing the character. i know that might be hard to do if this was an original monologue, but it would make the performance much more realistic. im an actor too, so i know how hard monologues can be. keep it up though, and break a leg :-)

  • good job bro keep at it

  • Just a suggestion. If you're planning on auditioning for a college/university or for a semi-professional or professional company, take your monologues from published plays. Monologue books generally are overly emotionally dramatic and often poorly written, and even if they're not, just using them sometimes is a strike against you at an audition.

  • well done that was great

  • it was pretty good you can tell you did it in one take if you where really filming it for like a movie you would have had a few takes to do it :) and a director to fix it up tell you what to fix but it was really good for being a one take shot you can tell if it was really film it would be a master piece

  • Someone did this monologue in my acting class but you did it way better keep up the good work reach for the stars

  • when are you going to make more your fantastic and cute i know you'll be on tv one day

  • great job I really like how you climax on the far to long line and changed pace and started up again you but your on style on it nice

  • nice, u did a good job getting emotional

  • hey keep up the acting and the videos! you do a great job! :)
