@MusicLover11325 There aren’t any SID or STAR procedures charts included with MSFS. If you are using payware aircraft such as PMDG (and others) you can select a SID or STAR programmed in the FMC via the CDU in the Dep/Arr departure arrival page.
You can instead (and by default by default aircraft) use the waypoints in the route generated by MSFS for your flight and execute it without the departure or arrival SID/STAR procedures if you don’t have charts.
@PUA687 I am using the PMDG, but the FMC is kind of complicated for me. I still don't understand because flightaware only have flights within the US or another country bound in the US. I make flights in other countries like HKG-NRT. I don't know which sid or star to choose or how many like above in your video to enter in the FMC. So what you're saying is that I can enter the waypoints in MSFS that were shown in the highairways? And enter them where?
@eddseaver SIDs(Standard Instrument Departure) and STARs (Standard Terminal Arrival Route) are procedures and checkpoints used to enter and leave the airway system by aircraft operating on IFR flight plans. There is a defined transition point at which an airway and a SID or STAR intersect.
@bigwill619 Make sure the flight has already arrived. Try American Airlines - AAL flight 104 and choose the one from Jan 15 2011. You'll see the route listed is 'BETTE3 BETTE ACK BRADD N53B YYT NATU DINIM NATU ELSOX EVRIN UL607 NUMPO UP2 OKESI Y3 BEDEK'
@fsxgamer1 There are two effects I used to make the CDU larger and to zoom in on it. First I clicked and held the left mouse button over the lower right corner of the CDU window and dragged it until it was the size I desired.
Then I used Camtasia Studio Zoom and Pan effects for a more granular control over these effects.
Everytime I type in an airport on the CDU it tells me "NOT IN DATA BASE" Can someone please help??!
