If the original artist is the writer, then very few people know the "original" artists of any of their favorite songs.

Wow, this is beautiful! I admit that I had never heard this Carol King's original version before but, damn! It's totally different and new, it's as if I were hearing this song for the first time! it's wonderful the way Carol can make it so sweet and intense at the same time.I've always loved this song and I still like the Shirelles version but honor and respect to the sublime interpretation of the one who wrote it!
