any kind of dog not mean. it way people raise them that make mean or not. no one should grudge unless it ur dog and ur baby. if u got nothing nice to say dont saying nothing at all.
Dogs and little kids are just the cutest thing ever. Especially when the dog is a "very aggressive" one, showing that "very aggressive" dogs do not exist. They are very idiot dog owners, on the other hand. This guy so isn't
so so cute thank you for sharing your child is gorgeous and you have such a good protector right there, i have a german shepherd cross she's great with my children as well i could not imagine my children's life being so good without a dog
@tatsuraj actually, rotties are quite gentle - i had a friend with a rottweiler i used to play with as a kid, and it never hurt me. Toy poodle next door? Tried to bite my knee off.
I knew a Rott that gobbled noodles from a women's hand. He accidentally bit her hand at the thumb webbing and drew blood enough he could taste it. He immediately ran to the farthest room and stuck his nose in the corner and cried. He had goobers in his eyes. I saw this and I miss that friend of the pack. Or family member which ever way you see it.
rotties are the most soppyiest, silly and slightly blonde dogs ever. They are absoutly wicked :) they are as big as they are clumsy! i dont know why people have such a strong fear of them. its our actions which cause it, if you walk into a room with a sense of fear, the dogs going to be a bit confused and curious to why.

My daughter hated dogs when she was tiny. I babysat a shi tzu and a bichon when she was about six months old and she'd scream if those dogs came anywhere near her.
Our Rot Cub does that with our newest baby, and has with all 3 of our kids. She has never even come close to harming them and is very protective of them. People who think Rotts have a viscious nature are ignorant. These dogs are the most loving and loyal breed I have had the priveledge to own.
Risk management. Some of the sweetest dogs I have ever seen were Rottweilers, Dobermans, or Pitts. Raised properly it is doubtful they will intentionally harm a baby or child. My dog loves children too, but she is very high energy, weighs 60 lbs, and runs very fast and might accidentally knock a kid over. I have a rule that no child that weighs less than she does can be around her alone. In my opinion it's great the baby is getting positive interaction with the dog so he won't be afraid later.
I agree with you. I love big dogs like Rotties also. My biggest concern is that sometimes, they may unintentionally injure a child because they don't know their strength.
@UlriQ I'm sorry but you are way off. I'm not going to be ignorant and say that Rottweilers were bred to be cuddly and cute, they were bred as herding dogs.BUT that does not mean they are mean.Rottweilers often have great temperaments and are eager to please.Which is why they are used as guard dogs & sadly why they are often trained for fighting. Not because they are vicious or mean, but because they are eager to please their owners.I would know, I grew up with a Rott. That baby is in no danger.
@alicialovexoxo I dont dispute any of that. In my experience the Dogs I was around as a child were sociable, well trained pets. However I'm just saying *personally* I'd not have my new born daughter/son in such close proximity at this stage-if other's are happy to do this that's their choice, My respect for the animal and it's power is too great for me to take that chance with my child. I'll never say something could never happen
LOL. people just don't get that we are all giant sacs of bacteria and water and fungi and icky stuff. SO funny, all you grossed out peeps. The point about the kid probably not having allergies is entirely true. You are dirty, you just don't know it. All the soap in the world? Will just make you sick. Eat some, if you don't believe me.
Any dogs that are living with some family, being loved by that family, absolutely love their family without any exceptions. However, this principle sometimes does not apply to human beings.
In that sense, we ,human beings, are inferior to any dogs. How do you think about my opinion ?
@riode2090 I agree. Another way we are inferior to dogs and most other animals, is that they have learned the importance of co-operation. Humans, on the other hand, are still enamored with "dog-eat-dog" competitiveness and are therefore rushing foolishly toward extinction (via nuclear competitions).
@riode2090Of Your opinion is a crock. If you look at a wolf or wild dog pack they have internal power struggles and inter-pack conflicts all the time. With humans it's just scaled up. Instead of packs we have nations, and instead of pack-conflicts we have wars. If they were in our position they'd operate more or less they same way we do, except cuter and with more ass-sniffing.
@RTDice11 Your "internal power struggles and inter-pack conflicts all the time" is applicable to wolves and wild dogs, but is not always true to dogs.
Some of wolves historically decided to stay in the human being world and the essense of dogs differs from that of wild wolves. There are many dogs in the world to be well trained to work for us.
In a word, I don't think that we should discuss the matter, considering dogs to have the same one as the nature wolves have.

@ALKIS84 The "what if" argument sucks, bro. People usually think things through instead of spontaneously doing something. You act as if this were the first ever encounter between the baby and the dog.
@Gallahan you cant tell i am not right ... the "what if" doesnt mean that the dog will do something wrong or wants to harm the baby...i have a cane corso and it is very socialized but the bite is an act of game for the dog..while playing he harmed me lot of times but was a tinny scratches...
Ugh, ok lets get something straight. If a rottie was to attack anything, you would see it stand up, ears up, hacks up, go completely silent. then about 20 seconds later, go straight for the neck. Clearly this isnt the case. Rottweilers are sweet, loving, and protective. Props to anyone who tries to prove this to our ignorant tabloid readers. Love this video.
@GoldEyedNickCLover hey, what wrong with you? if this parent thought the dog was hurting the baby, theyd have punished the dog and stopped it. i had a rot-dobe mix who when he was a puppy jump a 4 ft fence to save my sister from a saint Bernard when she found his bone in the street. thanks to a rottie, my sister has full function of her body. that dog could have killed her. my rottie saved her.
@rkckl99 haha o that wasn't suppossed to come out like that

i meant that that is wt it looks like the dog is sayin..i have 5 pitbulls nothing against these "bully" breeds. soooooo i don't rele care about ur little life story though that's great, but maybe instead of asking wts wrong with me maybe u could read it a little differently next time thanks!
melonsVlog.....dogs have much less bacteria in their mouths that we do... their mouths are moturiously clean which is why they are sseen to be able to heal small wounds by licking. ...dont comment if you've nothing productive to say!
@lilbexi I'll say what I like, I'm entitled to my own opinion! Yeah they might be able to clean up their own wounds but they still also use their tongue to wash them selves and lick their 'areas'.
that dog's probably been licking its private areas and everything, then you allow it to lick your baby which will no doubt put it's hands in its mouth after this? the dog may not be violent or whatever but it is still dirty even if you did wash the babies hands straight afterwards, might not wash it all off 100%
@MsNickyLk Well, yes and no to your claim. Its according to the oral hygiene of the human/dog tested. MythBusters professional lab tests confirmed that if a person had good oral hygiene their mouth had less germs than a dogs mouth. Therefore on the average a persons mouth is more germ free. Back to the video, really cute.
haha I laughed so much because of this video, it's really sweet and heartwarming, and I'm happy about the fact that you uploaded this video because rottweilers have an ill repute and even though I'm no fan of rottweilers, I don't believe in the dog race being violent by nature. All dogs have a warm and loving side that you can develop with the right training and loads of love, and end up with an amazing dog that is your trusted companion and friend through thick and thin. great job :) <3
Obviously a very loved and well trained dog. He probably knows that if he's starts being nice now, the kid will sneak him food under the table when he gets older
I think its so sad how these dogs get a bad rep because people dont know too much about them & only go on what they hear. When will people realize media hype isnt always right. They never report on good stories so we dont get to hear anything about that. There are good & bad in everything. Stereotyping is just wrong in any subject. I love my rottie & never worry about him being around any of my 4 kids. He protects them from anyone/anything. No they arent for everyone but they arent all bad.
@Nee32379 ANY dog can be vicious. Sure the "bully breeds" can do more harm but that doesnt mean they will. They can be just as gentle as any other dog if raised right! The ignorance on this subject is just sad.
everyone on youtube is stupid dogs NEVER attack their masters children, it hasent happened, and will never dogs are simply to loyal and can regognize the helplessness in an infant baby , dogs will attack only strange, unfarmiliar children only when they approach the dogs in their territory doing what kids do being rough and touching the dogs face, the dog consider its territory is being attacked, and reacts, its as much the parents fault for letting the kid approach a strange dog as it is dogs
@blazethekiller11 no friend, all creatures (including humans) are born violent, it's how they are brought up that teaches them not to be. Except maybe hamsters. They aren't really that violent.
Any dog, any breed, can be this sweet and wonderful, just as any dog of any breed can be aggressive. It's all in how you raise them, and this dog has been wonderfully raised.
I love Rotties! They're awesome dogs, loyal, gentle but also playful. They're the best dog I've ever had! It's all in the training. Nothing more. If they're trained to be dangerous, they will be. If they're trained to be gentle, they'll be gentle.
@caligal2010, I don't mean to preach or offend, I only responded because your views seem more like media hype than experience--the driving force behind breed-specific bans. How would you feel if cops took your Lab away, even if it was in your family for years? Laws passed in the wake of media-driven stereotypes cause responsible "bully" owners to suffer in this manner daily. I hope you meet a rott/pitt/dobe that melts your heart like the other people here have..you might just change your mind.

melonsVlog.....dogs have much less bacteria in their mouths that we do... their mouths are moturiously clean which is why they are sseen to be able to heal small wounds by licking. ...dont comment if you've nothing productive to say!
lilbexi 1 month ago
@lilbexi I'll say what I like, I'm entitled to my own opinion! Yeah they might be able to clean up their own wounds but they still also use their tongue to wash them selves and lick their 'areas'.
MelonsVLog 1 month ago
that dog's probably been licking its private areas and everything, then you allow it to lick your baby which will no doubt put it's hands in its mouth after this? the dog may not be violent or whatever but it is still dirty even if you did wash the babies hands straight afterwards, might not wash it all off 100%
MelonsVLog 1 month ago
@MelonsVLog Who cares if the dog is licking the baby. Dogs mouths are cleaner then a humans. Get over it.
MsNickyLk 1 month ago 4
@MsNickyLk Well, yes and no to your claim. Its according to the oral hygiene of the human/dog tested. MythBusters professional lab tests confirmed that if a person had good oral hygiene their mouth had less germs than a dogs mouth. Therefore on the average a persons mouth is more germ free. Back to the video, really cute.

@MelonsVLog That's why we have immune systems.... get over it

haha I laughed so much because of this video, it's really sweet and heartwarming, and I'm happy about the fact that you uploaded this video because rottweilers have an ill repute and even though I'm no fan of rottweilers, I don't believe in the dog race being violent by nature.

Nee32379 1 month ago
@Nee32379 ANY dog can be vicious. Sure the "bully breeds" can do more harm but that doesnt mean they will. They can be just as gentle as any other dog if raised right! The ignorance on this subject is just sad.
Nee32379 1 month ago
I love me Rottweiler. They are normally not bad or evil, but some humans are. That's the problem.

Cute kid. I imagine if the dog didn't like it he'd leave. Now cats, that's a different story. I think they need their space.

everyone on youtube is stupid dogs NEVER attack their masters children, it hasent happened, and will never dogs are simply to loyal and can regognize the helplessness in an infant baby , dogs will attack only strange, unfarmiliar children only when they approach the dogs in their territory doing what kids do being rough and touching the dogs face, the dog consider its territory is being attacked, and reacts, its as much the parents fault for letting the kid approach a strange dog as it is dogs

FrizzyLizzie37 3 months ago
@caligal2010, I don't mean to preach or offend, I only responded because your views seem more like media hype than experience--the driving force behind breed-specific bans. How would you feel if cops took your Lab away, even if it was in your family for years? Laws passed in the wake of media-driven stereotypes cause responsible "bully" owners to suffer in this manner daily. I hope you meet a rott/pitt/dobe that melts your heart like the other people here have..you might just change your mind.

I like cats and many cats do protect babies of their families, but in all reality a dog would be a better guardian. Dogs can wreck
