  • Hi there what a lovely cat you have,i`ve just adopted a deaf cat and he is wonderful i just wanted a bit of small advice the cat charity that i got him from said that he was used to going outside and was found wondering around a busy town but my common sense tells me to keep him as a house cat i have tried him on a lead around the small garden that i have but i just don`t feel that it is safe to let him just to go off on his own there are alot of big dogs in the area some not on leads

  • lots of other cats and a couple of foxes but also don`t want to shut him in i feel it is safer

for him to be inside do you have any advice i`m just trying to strike the right balance for him thanks for reading

  • @loreintuition Pearl is NEVER allowed outside It is dangerous for any cat to go outside in a city or town situation - even more so for a deaf cat. You are perfectly right - follow your instincts. He is fine on a lead with you there (Pearl can go out on a lead also) - or if you purchase one of the lovely large completely wire enclosed cat pens some companies are making now that would be safe. But outside, unattended? No way.
