People tend to miss the facts here. Indians don't get "DIVORCED" because they aren't allowed to get divorced. Women are still second class citizens and are expected to obey their husbands and furthermore try to have an affair while your mother in law lives with you in the same house. Do you start to see the differences. Sure in some rural parts of iindia women are not treated so well, but for the most part in india women are glorified. Isn't it a common saying amongst Indian mothers to tell their daughters "Love love what is love..You marry him first then you fall in love later" One Indian dude I used to work with went back to India & came back married, he told us that his mother found him a bride and that was it. We asked him if he loved her & there was absolute silence!

Indian weddings are very expensive.My best friends cousin just got married and it cost over £100,000 pounds.no joke.If you reseach the average price you will find they are alot more expensive than most english weddingsthe indian wedding dress is crazy expensive .when my sister got married it cost alot of money trust me ,i remember tellin my gora friends and the shock on their faces when i told them the cost,indians really pull out their pockets at weddings so they can be an hugely lavish affair.

We like people in west do not go on expensive vacations every year, do not keep our parents in old age homes, do not buy cars, houses every year and never buy yatches, planes, branded shit like $4000 watches but yes unlike west we get married only once.we celebrate it to the core. Also our families are huge& closely knit.
