  • not being rude, but it is very odd shapped horse. it has beautiful coloring tho :)

  • The foxtrot is...different. I tell people although it is a 4 beat gait, the word "trot" is still in there:-) A lot of people say that in spite of the bounce, it does not aggravate back troubles as much as a RW or rack, since there is no side to side motion.

You are welcome to come ride one if you're ever in my area.

... my favorite foxtrotters are ones who perform both the FT, and also have a smoother, slicker trail gait like a rack.

thanks for checking out my videos :-)

  • why do you stretch them out like Qh's? in order for MFT's and gaited horses in general they need to be rounded up. a hollow horse is more likley to pace than a collected one. beautiful canter by the way. also it looks liek she is getting the hang of the fox trot but she broke a few time. Why my main breed is TWH's i discovered they have more natural gait than MFT's

  • oh ok..i ride racking horses so the foxtrot is totally new to me

  • that looks rough

  • Not too bad.. her gait of choice is actually a running walk, and in the video we are working more on keeping the trot in the gait, without worrying too much about smoothness.

But, the foxtrot is seldom as fast or smooth as a running walk or rack.
