I'm just Upset when I listen your playing and asking ''how is it possible''!!?
So I got just One question, or 2 ;)
What do you feel when you're playing and What is the best way to progress in Guitar? A lover of ''Free to be stoned'', a guy who openly truth guitar by listening to A;MH2! Have a hard time for 5 years in the guitar, now I have a hard time with pleasure!!
@catboydu10 Hiya .It's very nice of you to say thankyou ..In answer to your questions . I just try to get lost in the music . I practice technique ,scales arpeggios completely separate from music .Then I try to play whatever comes and not think about technique ,just the music. I learnt all the notes of C major A minor all over the neck by name . Not by shapes but by note names A B C D E F G A across the neck up and down the neck ,up and down each string.
@catboydu10 Part 2. I try to listen to music which moves me and inspires me .Jazz ,Blues Funk , Soul ,Chopin ,Bach ,Teleman,. Cannonball Adderley Miles Davis , Albert King ,Wes Mongomery. Flamenco , Celtic music Ravi Shankar & Indian music .King Curtis , Barney Kessel .Some Country music Birds singing in the countryside .music . Psychedelic Rock .Latin groove music ..I try to feed my imagination .I hope that helps ,Thanks for asking
absolutely cracking - you have made a man a long way from home smile with genuine joy tonight. Like Callum66, Retribution (and particularly Best Suit) played a big role in one of my former lives, so this was like finding a long lost brother. Long may you prosper Mick.
nice, man. Its great to see someone actually get into what theyre playing and not just sitting down or standing still,i love watching people get into that place, just completely absorbed in their music.great playing, its like a mix between jazz, funk, blues, and classic rock.you rock bro.
You play with the same feel I do old timer, this is a lovely improvisation, I'm glad musicains everywhere are still keeping the feel of guitar alive, speed is only one half of the story, feel is the other, I'm lucky to have both, and this song on its own is the very inspiration that got me into guitar in the first place Lovingly Dominic Weinzierl Kershaw
Well I love every tone I hear here, every note I hear here! I subscribed. Esp. love the tone around 5:18. So it is,,, 3 cheers & a hear here! As an old guy you give me hope. Damn tear in the eye!
From 3:55 on to the end its just sheer genius, raw talent, absolute originality - we was well whoopin over here at the blues break at 4:19 and tapping at 6:34 - this just HAS to get onto cd or I'll be wasting the rest of my life here on UTube....
Fucking hell Hutchinson!!!! This is just fucking incredible! I've slagged off Jeff Beck's new Ronnie Scott Live album on an amazon review for being over rated & not having any real musical depth or originality to him - it started a bit of a discussion - but Christ, if I'd known about this shit I could just have said MICK FUCKING HUTCHINSON to nail & prove my point! Where the FUCK have you been? Can't believe you were never up there with Zepp, Who, Crimson, Zappa etc. Explain yourself, good sir!
you know what homie? I liked this jam alot, aeolian is my favorite scale, but i think what i liked the best about this is the fact that you started out playing the song and 1/2 way thru you couldnt stop your body from joining in :) Good job man!!! Thanks for the emotion!!
This is astonishing. If you are the Clarck Hutchison of my youth I bought your album Retribution something in excess of 35 years ago and it went the way of vinyl when C.Ds came. Albums come and go but I never forgotten Retribution and nor have I been able to replace it. Any ideas...? Is it on C.D or tape for instance .
I think was a time piece and a classic. It a privillage to connect with you sir . A thousand thankyous
