  • I feel your pain. When I went on the South Beach Diet, I abstained from meat, carbohydrates, and sugar. It's hell! I had the same symptoms as you. Irritable, no energy. I'd complete your 30 days, but don't completely deprive yourself. Moderation. Not looking forward to a meal of only fruits and vegetables in about 10 minutes. Good luck, girl!

  • You didnt lose weight because you were still eating the processed foods. They are full of empty calories. But this is an old vid so Im sure you know this by now

  • I know by now that yu are well beyond ur 30 days, bt I just wanted 2 congratulate yu 4 being so strong willed & self determined. i am startn a no meat and no dairy diet. i am also nt going 2 eat pasta. i plan 2 eat plenty of vegatables, fruit, drink plenty of water, & exercise daily. Hopefully everything works out. good luck 2 yu.

  • I stopped eating meat a year ago and gained 20 pounds. My friends have since nick named the "greedy vegan."

  • @312kay after my experiment now I know meat is not the cause of people getting fat. Because I did not loose alot of weight.

  • @MAINTHOUGHT21 No, cutting a group of foods will not make u loose weight. Maybe cutting meat will make you healthier in bad fats terms, but the truth is that if you dont change all your diet for a more helthier greener lifestyle (out of sugar, white carbs, sodas, do excercise, etc) you wont loose any weight or feel with energy.

  • @Kyla621 Yeah that's true... I am a potatoholic. And I've been known to sleep on a meal on two. I'm working on though!

  • meat doesnt' make people fat,carbs is more responsable for fat.if u stop eating carbs you drop weight fastly

  • WOW! You are a strong and committed individual. I know you will get weak, but don't give up. Stay strong! If you can do it, I can too! If you get the urge think about how disappointed you going to feel when you were so close, then start all over again. I broke my New Years resolution already and I feel like a failure. LOL! Just kidding! But hang in there, sista!

  • Our food nowadays is processed to the point to where it's almost useless.

    Personally, I don't let anyone tell me how to eat. I do my research on what's what, but I cannot give anyone any dieting tips.

    I am 6'5", 185 lbs and in very good health, (according to my Dr.). I eat all meats, certain cuts only, blood pressure is steadily normal, no gray hair, no balding, no health issues.

    U can't believe everything ppl tell u.

  • Fruits of most kinds, some veggies. I don't have a special diet, and pay little attn to what "society" says is "healthy".

    I do take a multivitamin once a day, and stay active.

    Eggs used to be bad 4 u, now they r not.

    Pork used to be horrible, now it's the "other white meat".

    Society's standards r Bi-Polar, 1 day it's this, next day it's that. Ppl r scared into eating, (or not eating), in a certain way.

    I eat when I am hungry, I drink when I am thirsty, and I thank God 4 each day.

  • BTW, I would like to add that there r some ppl that do have dietary issues. Listen to your Dr., and do what u need to do to protect your health.

    I guess I am just one of the fortunate ones who can eat anything in regulation and stay healthy.

  • One thing I must add, which is very important, my beliefs.

    I believe that God Himself controls destiny and has final say-so on how long each of us lives.

    We will not be on this earth 1 sec longer than we r supposed to, nor will we leave this earth 1 sec b4 we r supposed to...regardless of our diet.

    There is nothing wrong w/being as healthy as possible, etc, but refusing that 1 last cookie will not grant us any more time, if God says different.

    Just what I believe.

    STAY AWAY FROM PORK even after 30 days...or else you will end up like most Black people. You want to see your babies grow old right? Iight then now...we need the Black woman healthy. GO VEGGIE.

  • also on another note you are right about your senses because i haven't eaten pork in 14 years and other meat in a decade. I can walk into an establishment or someones house and can tell exactly what was cooked. I still eat clean, fresh fish that wieghs under 50lbs.

  • You can tell that it is working on you because I can see that glow in your face. The mind is a powerful thing and if you can curb your stomach and diet you can curb anything in life. I haven't eaten meat in a decade and it will benefit you later in life. Whatever you do get off the king's meat. (pork) Don't go back to that. Stay strong. Praying and fasting builds character and wards off evil. Peace.

  • yes, but diet alone is not going to help you. You have to watch what you drink and exercise alot too. Because they are putting losts of steriods and hormones in our foods nowadays anyways. The more you stay off that meat it preserves your beauty. I can tell by looking at your face after only 17 days. Imagine years later. And also the health benefits for your and your baby/babies. I recommend NEVER going back to the pork. The other meats just wean yourself off of them. Peace sister.
