I loved how the Emerald city is more realistic...In the books The city is made of gold & silver also. It looks like it could be a real place in this film:)
It just doesnt have an OZ feeling to it. Its cool and all but the scarecrow looks nothing like the original as well as other characters. Dorothy looks like shes 10 years younger in this movie.
They can't make sequels without sticking to what worked the first time. And classics are classics for a reason, because they worked and were down right.
Er, have you read the books ? Dorothy is supposed to be 11. And the characters as presented here are based on the original drawings in the L.Frank Baum books
@questionsleadtotruth Dorothy was orginally supposed to be about 10 or 11 in the books, the judy garland version was the way it was because shirley temple was preoccupied. Altogether there are 40 Oz books the first 15 being by the original auhor. The movie is "said" to be closer to the books. Btw the movie is a mix of bk. 2 and 3.
The picture on the Disney DVD and the Anchor Bay one are exactly the same, there's nothing wrong with either of them. Stop supporting this loser and his illegal activities. Support the people who made this AWESOME movie and pick up a copy.
the problem with the dvd is that the picture is durty(dust,scratches and other sutch things) that's the disney dvd release.the ancor bay copy is suppose to be clean but it out of print and runns up to 200$ on amazon

If you are a fan of Return To Oz then you'd buy the DVD, instead of stealing it. By posting this on here you're stealing from every person that worked on that movie. It'd be one thing if you made a music video of a trailer or some kind of tribute, but you posted the whole damn movie. That's way illegal, and way immoral. Get the damn DVD, it's everywhere.
By that reasoning every time a teacher shows a movie in class they are stealing from the film makers. And every time a movie airs on TV the studios are being stolen from. How do you know that seeing this won't make people bye the DVD that wouldn't have thought of it otherwise?

I wouldn't have before because I couldn't remember how good it was. The studios lose more money keeping it hidden than letting people know how good it is.
i know that its alot just to have this movie up but,.... do you think u could reupload it without the sound being all screwed up??? i luv the movie i just... i cant stand having the soung being 10 seconds behind the film. the only correct one was number 8 so it kinda ruined it all for me....
