I wouldn't have been the one strapped to that seat, nor would I have been able to watch for very long. One slip, and he would be skin and bones strapped in with brains on the floor. The robot doesn't care, and I've seen these malfunction

Yeah, Kuka has been doing this for years. Saw one back in 2002 or 2003. This is pretty cool, but it breaks all the rules of robot safety! :)

we've got a couple of fanuc this size, although I don't think their capacity is as great that are no longer being used, I'd love to see this at work...it'll never happen though, it'd be our luck a position sensor would go bad on the first try and it'd crash into the floor
