i'm singing this in an event my best friend is organising to raise money for a little boy we know who won't live past 13. we want him to live his life to the full, i love this so much <3
i dont see how this song relates to god or jesus in any way besides the only single word "prayer" I believe that this song sounds more related to making a promise to someone very close in your heart, a friend, a lover, family member, something like that, but point is this is a very good song
Jesus made the ultimate promise to us. that he'd never walk away from us. As long as we stay with him. we can tell him anything and everything. He died on the cross for us... my heart aches. that sin that was laid on him, was our fault. the human race that he created. He loved us, despite our mistakes and flaws... our sin. I feel closer to him then I have in a long time. I won't let that go easily.

God still loves you and can help you through this time in your life. God never promised an easy life but did say he would be there to get you through the good and bad times. Music only has context in the ear of the listener, so you can make the song out to be whatever you want. But I'm pretty sure when Kutless wrote this, that was the message they were trying to convoy.

@Mubashir565 It's about that too, but as Kutless is primarily a Christian band, it's fairly safe to say this song is about God. Music only has context in the ear of the listener, so you can make the song out to be whatever you want. But I'm pretty sure when Kutless wrote this, that was the message they were trying to convoy.
