I run a side dump. I love it when they ask me to go down a 16% grade at an intersection and dump as I'm turning. I tell them, right, and you want to set my truck back up on its wheels and pay the damage. No thanks, let's not and say we did.
My full lockers are nice, but if you can't steer it, it don't matter how much traction you get. We've been getting a lot of rain and it gets pretty snotty. We're trying to build roads to wind tower sites and have been hauling the road gravel in.
@WesternStar4900SA and I forgot to mention in the description. The first truck got thrown against that outside berm, so I had to stop behind him. When I stopped, my truck just slid backwards into the berm, that's what got me stuck, lol
@jsmitty1974 Hahaha, thats cool, we have worse stuff up here, it's so sticky, your wheels would be gummed up in no time, I'm from Grande Prairie Alberta, it's traction here but so sticky, it gets everywhere!
Been there and done that !!! I used to run pipe from Blytheville to all over west texas and new mexico. No a/c and a spring ride truck and trailer , broke and hungry most of the time ! Ah, the good old days !!!
Not that I like seeing you guys stuck, but I LOVE seeing nice trucks that aren't affraid to get dirty at work! Some guys would have said no way when they saw this road. I always like a challenge too... I'd have tried it!
we get spost like this up here.. i would have had all my heavy trygg chains on plus a steering for good measure..this is why i love working at 35 below weather.. dont have mud down your neck while chainin up..lol good vid

@eyesofawulf
lol, no, it wasn't a short cut. It was a county road that we had to take, to get to a lease road.
