Actually, the "Ambulance Ending" is TRUE... and when you get it, you need to make sure you save the game later...
After that... When you've done, you fire up Final Fantasy 7, and when you get to the point where Sephiroth kills Aeris, she will be saved by an ambulance. (!!!)
This is the ONLY way to save her. Anyone who says you can revive her later on is lying. You need to have the ambulance ending in Silent Hill first.

The whole franchise goes well together, remember that KONAMI, saw it wise to add SH4 the Room in with the series because IT WAS in SH and had to do with certain things attached to the town.
Origins was a short story that tied things together neatly for SH1, to me, the greatest most emotional story was SH2, which wasnt specifically about the cult of Samael or Alessa, but was a beautiful personal story of two lovers and their honeymoon.

This is just my opinion, but I believe Fungo is correct. Silent Hill did died after the third part. You just had to be there. Even years after the release of the first Silent Hill game, it was still a hot topic: What the heck happened in Silent Hill? But once Silent Hill 3 was released, and played through, it killed the magic, so to speak. Everything was answered that seemed unanswerable, to an extent. Silent Hill 4 was not bad, but it does show how Silent Hill began its spiraling downfall...

I have enjoyed every Silent Hill game i've gotten my hands on. I get scared shitless everytime. I guess im a bitch for it, but thats what i love about Silent Hill. You can throw Brittany Spears on that bitch as the main char and i'd still play it. It's the story line, and different things in the game i love. And it stopped growing after Orirgins. The other games after origins are just horror games with Silent Hill minorly worked into the plot and 'Silent Hill' slapped on the cover so it'd sell. Well I can see why you would get mad, but I think the problem with 4 was Henry, he has no expression! I think out of now where the real Henry is gonna come out and say "Hey my cardboard cutout!",all in all it was a pretty good game so I was kinda peeved about that too, I think origins was a flop though, Your weapons break! And if you can go back and forth between worlds, than it kinda loses it's survival horror feel. I think 5 will return to the classic survival horror that we know and love!

Oh I agree with you. That game was cool, but it's just not as exciting and scary, y'know? I think that's because it was made in America instead of Japan doing it and making it as awesome as the first three SH games. I have a feeling SH games are gonna continue for a long time, but they won't be scary at all.

Ah yeah: I love rumours like this one. I know they aren't true but it's just funny to see how many people believe them. I think that both this and the whole 'revive Aries' thing on FFVII were the two biggest (at least that I know of). Anyone else remember any?

Actually yes believe it or not. Though I have heard that some guys have NOT had that happen to them. So it could be a glitch that was only on some copies of the game

dang, fungo, this is old school! i remember reading about this shit in the forums, too. silent hill had all sorts of crazy rumors. like the ones about being able to witness the event that you only partially get to see in the OP where Dahlia Gillespie is running then turns arounds & theres a bright light. being able to collect & mix materials so that you can make a bomb & use it to gain access to a secret location. that one fell under the ambulance criteria as well.

Weel IMO, the movie ruined it. At least SH4 was done by Team Silent. They took from another game and used it like SMB2 is why it's different.
The Origin's game ruined it all in terms of story:
Silent Hill3 church: Alessa talks to the cult god as a female entity...
Origins: The cults god is Sameal again with antilope skull wearing cultists.
What do you think about that Fungo? Thats a huge amount of destruciton isn't it.

That ending was a load of bull to me when I was 13 & read about it.
(Silent Hill died after three because the story started being bland & ridiculous & the makers changed to much. look at Silent Hill:Homecoming.)

god, i remember that from way back in the day. early 2000, after my first runthough, i was pissed that i got the bad ending, so i went seraching all over the internet for other endings and hear this nonsense.
i was 10 yrs. old at the time and i was still able to see what a load of bull it was.
i haven't heard it since. look forward to your documentaries. i love to learn as much as i can about silent hill.

I have enjoyed every Silent Hill game i've gotten my hands on. I get scared shitless everytime. I guess im a bitch for it, but thats what i love about Silent Hill. You can throw Brittany Spears on that bitch as the main char and i'd still play it. It's the story line, and different things in the game i love. Keep it up, i know it wont pay the bills, but you'll always have 1 person buying it. I'll be 80 in a nursing home still trying to find all the photos. Silent Hill is F'in awesome.

Oh for godsake, I wrote a long comment and before I was done something screwed up happened. What I mainly said was: "Silent Hill didn't die, it just stopped growing. And it stopped growing after Orirgins. The other games after origins are just horror games with Silent Hill minorly worked into the plot and 'Silent Hill' slapped on the cover so it'd sell. From what I've been told anyway.

Well I can see why you would get mad, but I think the problem with 4 was Henry, he has no expression! I think out of now where the real Henry is gonna come out and say "Hey my cardboard cutout!",all in all it was a pretty good game so I was kinda peeved about that too, I think origins was a flop though, Your weapons break! And if you can go back and forth between worlds, than it kinda loses it's survival horror feel. I think 5 will return to the classic survival horror that we know and love!
