the fact is, hypotetically they could say Metheny is boring, afterall, music is a matter of tastes as any type of art. But I just think that considering pat metheny 'boring' means not having developed a musical ear, or not yet I hope :D because there are some artists who have reached such a level, that you must, partially, consider them objectively, although it's art. I mean, what would you say about my classical music knowledge if I said that beethoven is overrated?

@xXPredraGXx Anna Maria Jopek has an amazing voice but Pat has an amazing vocabulary. Pat suffered a severe electric jolt before the gig. It didn't affect his playing though, just his hair. A wonderful band!

Wonder who is in this band outside of Pat and Anna. Don't recognize anyone. They do a good job with the backbone of the tune. But this one is mostly Pat's solo backed with a good workout from the drummer and Anna's vocals in the opening.

I first saw PM in '79 - wearing his same trademark clothes - baggy, horizontally stripped T shirt, denims, athletic walkers/ canvas deck shoes. A couple of years ago my wife & I ran into him in a very upscale Southern California restaurant, that's what he was wearing.

My fave of this cut is on PMG Offramp. A bit more laid back but still jammin' after 28years. "Eighteen", on same disc, is my all
