The Mummenschanz were awesome! I'll havt o do a search on them and see if theyre still around. Sad entertainment like them and The Muppet Show isnt around now but crap like Jersey Snore is.
Yeah and they continued it in The Muppet Babies. Haven't seen any episodes that I know of (if I did I was too young to remember it) but I have a few of the little books.
Am I the only one that loved this episode when I was a kid and still love it now? The Mummenschanz were brilliant and creative, just like Jim Henson, which is why he asked them to be on the show in the first place. Just because they do something that some people don't understand doesn't mean they are any less talented or worth less time to appreciate then anyone else, sheesh!
I agree. I think their perfomences were very creative and well done. and I enjoy the episode very much, too. the Mummenschanz fit in with the muppe ts very well.
Never watched Muppet show as a kid, so i can't say if I would have liked them then! But I know NOW I do like them... To let things look so easy and fun Mummenschanz probably had to train hard and a lot. - I mean, alone managing to work with clay that good without seeing what you are doing. - And pretty much every movement they do. .. That's not just playing around...
And Kermit got it right at the first introducion of them: "... distant cousions of the muppets" - that fits pretty well!
@Kitchenwitch83 No, look at those comments, you are not alone. Those Mummenschanz are the most unique form of art I have ever seen. So much timing and effort to memorize such detailed movements. The celebrity guest stars are talented, but these Mummenschanz are... indescribably talented.
Please don't ask me to post your favorite episode. Quite simply, I don't have it. I haven't even watched any of the first season episodes yet. If you want to see a specific episode, I suggest that you purchase it.
This is the last episode. there are some special features, the pilot, and some promotional stuff that is still yet to come. The 3rd season has yet to be released on DVD. Don't bet that I will be purchasing it, just to upload to youtube.
I love how Gonzo wants to be hurt.....

I guess they struck a deal or something. I see Floyd and the others are playing the theme song even after their little objection last episode.
