The FCC is a govt agency and works for the public...hold on...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Last time I checked, the FCC and federal govt can give two f*cks about the American people.
Were are ALL protected by 4 companies owning 90% of the media outlets and fake news put out by the white house to protect us from terrorists the created and jet fuel melts steel. This bitch is a paid off mouthpiece and needs to shut her hole.

News has a tremendous responsibility to make sure that the news is balanced and not controlled by a few people's interests. This is what is happening now. A few corporations are responsible for the vast majority of new outlets.

It means that if a news outlet isn't giving the people/audience/consumer what they want (balanced news coverage) then its ratings/circulation will suffer until they have to either change what they are doing or go under. Is that good, or do you need a pop-up book?

This is such horse-shit. The FCC is not about "giving" the consumer a balanced view of the news. They basically regulate the technical side of things and make sure there aren't monopolies and set content standards (obscenity). The free market ensures balanced news coverage. Q: Is the FCC preventing you from finding obscure news on the net or sat TV? A: No!

The FCC is Working for Big corporations. Most of the Media is controlled by 4 or 5 corporations and Clear Channel is the biggest offender when it comes to radio. And the FCC has begun discussions about regulating Satellite Radio and More control of cable channels.
If left unchecked the FCC or some other Govt agency will take control of Internet content as well. We must always question our government and be cynical at every turn or our freedoms will swept away.

The FCC is a govt agency and works for the public. And yes, most big media outlets are controlled by several big corporations, but not all media outlets are. You're right that we should watch the govt, but the FCC follows the rules set by Congress. So its Congress you should be wary of. Socialists like Charlie Rangel who want to limit your free speech should be watched carefully.

Ragen infected the FCC with his Political hackjobs. Before then the FCC enforced the Fairness Doctrine and the equal-time rule. The FCC of today and the FCC pre Ragen era are two differnt things!
