A GREEN TIP FOR LA. dont put your trash bins out unless they are very full. Allow people who are on foot to take recyclables from your bin instead of the big diesel burning truck who revs his engine in front of your house for a few items.
Interesting that they just dump them automatically...any word on who owns the truck since it's not in LA city colors? I would have just gotten out and at least tucked the bag back in...Excellent shot, hope to see more if you find any!
That is a LA City truck, you can see the City seal on the panal to the left of the driver, its painted in the Public Works colors, not the green Solid Waste Div colors.
Form what I have heard, Sanitation actually orders all these trucks and deals with the biddings and stuff, much they only ask Amrep or whoever the body maker is to make a certain number or all of the trucks ordered in this yellow for Street Services.

It is city operated but not in the sanitation division it is operated by street services.
