It was 2004 when the re-mastered versions of these albums came out. I was lucky to get the original version of this album when I did. The re-mastered version of this album doesn't even come close to the original as far as crunch goes. I love Megadeth, and their last two albums, United Abominations and Endgame, blow anything that Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer have done, out of the water. Case closed.
No, you are...at least as far as judging good drum sounds. The remasters' all sound like Drumkit From Hell samples. That's the most obvious thing that sucks about the Peace Sells remaster. The improved clarity of the mix is cool I'll admit.
@Northwro Seriously? Endgame and and UA are better than anything that Metallica, Anthrax or Slayer have ever done? Are you retarded? Those two albums arent even that good. If you said "Rust in Peace" or "Peace Sells," Id be ok with that because those two are amazing. But you know what else is amazing, Master of Puppets & Ride the Lightning - Metallica, Reign in Blood & South of Heaven - Slayer, Among the Living - Anthrax. Those are all brilliant thrash albums. You must be an idiot.
I hate every remaster except SFSGSW, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a shit-ton of reverb. The only thing that sounds better in all these remasters Dave did are his solos (how ODD?) haha anyway, 2:02 is my favorite thrash part in any song from any metal band ever
