The card looks nicer then my Gigabyte GTX 580 SOC lol, I get great temperatures on my Gigabyte though, it's got 3 fans as well. In a room with an ambient temperature of 28c I get an idle temp of 36c and a full load temp of ~70c which is nice considering I've overclocked it to 900/2350.
Hello all, just a little update - I have had this card running in Black Ops and Bad Company 2 and the temperature never once went over 70c so I am very happy! The card also is so so very quiet! Expensive!, but you get what you pay for I guess!
Hi Magnus the vapor chamber makes a lot of difference as regards cooling, the 480 versions were renowned for being hot so they come up with this New vapor system, My card on idle runs at just 30c which is a vast improvement on the 480 cards! this card also only draws 240 wats of power compared to the 300+ wats of the 480.

nice looking card, I own a ati 5870 and was thinking about upgrading to one of these (or similar gtx580), how noisy are they at idle and under load?

Hardly any noise at all even under load playing BF3 I don't notice anything apart from my case fans.
